Hahah the graveyard =D Another thing that demotivates me is that the picture doesn't come out like you want it to be... You have the picture so clear in your head but you just cant reach it! The endless tweaking after tweaking can get to you...
I collect the BEST images and videos on the net into my INSPIRATION folder and when I need inspiration, I just look them through and get so THRILLED that I just MUST start to make something cool!
I made psy-trance and chill-out music for about four years with my friend. We had problems but I had created more and more... we had great dj-sets and some other things :))
Once we got broken our group and I quit partying and dj-ing... I realised that our party people changed a lot... not to a better level :(
I continued writing music. Now I have at least two cool and non-completed tracks. It's because I don't have any ideas - "what will be after I complete 'em? who need this?"
Adrew, thanks for your life tips! This video is really helpfull!
I agree with all of your points of view. And I realised why I often couldn't complete some good project :))
Also I want to add that a great motivator is peoples opinion and subjective comments ("that's great!" or "that's shit.. are you joking coz I saw you can do it a lot better!")
Great video with a lot of good advice. I am really impressed with your focus and what you've done with Blender Guru.
I don't think that consuming entertainment like TV, video games, movies, etc. is necessarily wrong, however. Certainly, it must be kept to a minimum, but I find that getting a little entertainment after exhausting myself with work can be very enjoyable.
I know what you mean about turning to video games when you get frustrated, though, it's a self-destructive downward spiral.
Great advice, I think some of the advices doesn't just apply to 3d modeling, seems to apply to other things like programming. (I'm a learning programmer)
Although this isn't about long projects, but I'm struggling to do my summer homework ASAP(like it was supposed to be 3 days ago) so I could start with a website project that might take forever.
I've been procrastinating on the computer for a long time. However I find that by making short goals, helps me know I'm making progress.
couldnt agree more about the news... this world holds people down, or at least what people tell you about it

Maybe just one thing: What do you do when you simply get bored by a project that you should finish?
