Ask her, "Do you have a cell phone? Okay, cool, let's trade numbers. We'll catch a movie sometime." Or any variation to the end. It shows that you're interested and that you know how to go after something you want. If she says she's taken, then no big deal, at least you've made a new friend.

ps the one thing I've not heard you address is this: typical reaction from women is to suspect the man is always doing these chat up techniques in places, sometimes they'll even say "Do you do this a lot?" - you can be as sincere as you possible, lots of women are well aware that men go around doing this, particularly if the woman's a looker. This is a no win situation unless the man's hot enough for the woman to overlook it or her ego makes her believe she is the only one targetted.
