  • i heard what is needed is one soft wood on one hard wood. the hard wood grinds dust off the soft wood which turns into an ember.

is this untrue? can soft woods be used together and hard woods used together?

  • SanRafaelSwell... Although its a year later I figured I'd speak my peace. You are correct in saying true cedars are not native

To north America but regardless of their father land, true cedars are alive

And well in the pacific northwest of the US. Example; the Deodar cedar, the Atlas cedar as well as the cedar of Lebanon. Kinda in the same way 99% of the people living in this country aren't native.

  • Couldn't see for the all the paragraph.

  • I wish people realized that THERE ARE NO CEDARS in the US. This genus (Cedrus) is NOT native to the Americas. Everything that people call cedars in the US are actually junipers (Juniperus) or Arborvitae (Thuja). They are NOT cedars, sorry.

  • I saw this done in 50 seconds (pick up tools to open flame) at the winter olympics in Salt LAke City.

  • lol.
