  • any relation to orlando bloom?

did i say it wasnt the original arangement????? no.

a lot of renaissance music is pretty good, i dont like this.

it seems like a cacophony therefore......

  • cant understand a bloody word of it. these arrangers miss the bloody point of a song. its much easier to understand johnny bloody rotten for gods sake

why oh why do you have people singing different words at the same time? it is a bloody cacophony.

  • @viago2 Don't be so dense: this is the original composition, as written by Orlando Gibbons (although I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard of him, looking at your comment), and first published in 1612. People have liked this work enough for it to last 400 years, so he must have done something right. You evidently know nothing about late Renaissance music. This performance is pretty decent, actually. Whilst there areas which could be improved, it is certainly not a 'cacophony'.

  • Beautiful :) I sang this a year ago in my choir, and it was the most beautiful piece I have ever had the priviledge to sing. Kudos to you!

  • Simply wonderful! Just as I remember it sung back in the 80's. Thank you for posting this!

  • my favorite madrigal of all time and done so beautifully!
