I use to live in Magadan since 1981-1991, and I knew him personaly. In fact filming is done in his 1 bedroom flat, where I used to help him keep clean. What a great man, truly part of Russian history. He spent more then 50 yrs in Magadan, when he was allowed to leave, he refused. He told me I'm staying here, I'm not coming back to Moscow. What was amaizing to me, Stalin sent him to Mmagadan, but there are no anger are rage in this little man, but a lot of love to people. Thank you for video!!!

Yes, interesting.

There was a whole program about him in our TV (recorded by German TV !) about his late life and that woman who devoted all her life to him.

Very moving - as his singing itself.
