  • I am, therefore I always will be.

  • other than michio kaku and hawking this guy is one of the greatest minds today

  • LOL!

  • No one has it all figured out..we strive but alas...we look to science, we look to religion but no one has it all "figured out". Life/consciousness = it is.

  • i know it all/have it figured out

but wont tell if you dont pay me 2500USD!

  • Guys,

Look at Wikipedia and his CV. IQ 165, worked with Georgi, won the Kilby prize for his GUT (co-authored). You may not like his views but he is the real deal.

  • If there is something that i observed is that LIFE is a GREAT PARADOX !!!

  • he doesnt have it all figured out, he just makes it up as he goes along! he's wrong. i think his qualification comes from the made up university, maharish or some balls

  • If he doesn't have it all figured out, perhaps you'd like to explain it to everyone?

  • Johnald, any constructive criticism of his theories? If you travel back in time to medieval Europe, you'll notice that the "Spherical Earth" proponents were shunned as new agers as well. See the irony?

  • Hagelin is a happy Hamlet free from stuggling with these equations and making sense of them. His imagination soars over all the wonderful possibilities while people doing REAL WORK cope with what physics really is at present, confusing, lacking a clear direction, little help from the experimental compass to lead us to physics beyond the standard model. This uncertainty is actually good but Hagelin has it all figured out.

  • In this sense he is a twenty first century counterpart to Anton Mesmer. Like Anton he has no idea how it all really works or if it works. I should know. String theory is the greatest idea in a long time but it is all but impossible to make contact with the real work of experiment in the blizzard of solutions recently dubbed the "landscape".

  • so how does it really work? how do we explain the measurement problem considering the fact that the more physics has tried to apply a rational model over the past century the more esoteric and elaborate the solutions become? Einstien and darwin both eluded to the beauty of a creator behind their mathematics. what implications does string theory have for consciousness?

  • Hagelin clearly knows his physics and must have studied superstring theory at some point in his career. He is by no means an expert of the subject and it's just as well. He is someone who knows enough physics, which by the way is easy for any high energy graduate student to acquire, to mesmerise his audience into thinking they are hearing scientific proof of his esoteric beliefs.

  • Intellectual knowledge only get us so far before we will be compelled to experience directly the elegance of the universe described in simple mathematical equations of the m theory. That is what John Hagelin is up to and his fellow quantum physicist are a universe or two behind.

  • have you read "elegant universe" by brian greene ?

i liked his interpretation of superstring theory better

  • what?....quantum hoogle boogle
