This is fascinating that that guy had his son spank him. I've always thought that God feels our collective pain that we inflict on ourselves and others. I don't think God is like a human king that rules over his subjects to meet all of his thrills and whims. Being God has its downside and we make it worst for him when we ignorantly misuse his gift of free will to carry out acts of evil against one another.

Are you seriously saying that there isn't a single person whose beliefs are from a different faith than their parents'? Personally I think your misconception of religion is simply your residual teenage angst that you never shook off, which is the case for most atheists.

if you really wanted to make a case against other people's faiths, then here's a start: try respecting other people's beliefs first, and not comparing a religion to Elvis.

@hardr0ck Of course there are some that have diff views than their parents..... For you to even say such a thing makes me question your intel right off the bat.

And as for the teenage angst. Well I was raised christian, went to christian schools my entire life. Pre school through high school.  Went to church on average of 2 times a month and believed in god with my entire being.

Then I opened my eyes to a nice thing called reality.

You're the one that suggested religion is only passed down by one's parents. "People simply adopt the beliefs of their parents." I didn't say it, you did.

So what if you were "raised christian"? You obviously didn't learn much if you try to compare the christian God to Elvis. You think going to a christian school and going to church made you a christian? Maybe you should actually learn something about the religion you claim you used to be a part of before claiming it's false.

why most churches are infatuated with: Vision, Purpose, Leadership?

Why less and less theology, doctrine, and expository preaching is being done at these type of churches?

Have we lost sight of what the Church really is suppose to be? I am not confused, but I am troubled by what I am started to see. I don’t know how this started, buy there are many things I was not aware of that now, compared to Scripture, I see many, many flaws in our current churches.

I know that you are a man of God. I believe that you will give me the answer from the Holy Spirit. Is the Sabbath day Saturday or Sunday? Does it matter if we take the seventh day to be the Holy day of God? Please let me know. Thank you.

There is no correct answer. All God cares about is what's in your heart, not "what day you choose to go to church." And, be carefu who you listen to. The world is full of people like "Joel Osteen" who do not understand God any better than does a dog! He's as phony as they come. Find a good, Bible based church and be real careful of things you see on YouTube.
