I picked on of these radios up about a month ago - had the classic HTX 10 FM TX hang and intermittant audio problem. a very simple fix - managed to catch the end of this year's summer sporadic e's. 25 watts and a small CB mobile aerial has given me some great contacts across europe up to around 2500km.

@g0vqw Sandy, I know, I know!! how much easier the exchanges are in CW -- when propagation condx are poor -- or maybe even when not ;-)

I used to have the HTX-10 - back in the 80s. Did a lot of mobile world-wide DXing with it. Amazing what 25 watts can do on the magical 10-meter band.
