they still make owners pokemon, and the vs series in japan is the johto version of it, but it would have been cool to see it in the ex series, like they did for team rockets

I'm thinking that I probably put them away thinking that I didn't save 4 packs of each cover design.. but while I was cleaning up I found these packs and then looked through my "storage box" and found another 4 packs so I thought I'd open them for the heck of it.

@UnownTV Yeah! I'd like them to make a set with 1st and 2nd gen too, and have them add the unique twists of these generation's cards.. such as prime cards and such for different gym leaders =] Or like throw in cards such as Ash's Pokemon

Ah i wish i could just clean up my room and randomly find packs. Yeh they should do gym series again, i think they should do it around the johto region cause they did at the time but only in Japan - The VS Series!!!!! I have it!!!! Complete!!!!, i'll stop bragging now. lol

haha no dude! you definitely have all the right to brag about it! Having a completed VS series set is almost as rare as having a 1st edition charizard haha.. maybe even rarer in North America cause there are plenty on ebay (just for real expensive) but completed VS sets only pop up once a while =P

It'd be an awesome concept to combine the ideas of the past with an updated version of the gym leader's Pokemon cause it's virtually been 10 years and a lot has changed + the concepts of today's Pokemon cards

Yeah, the gym series were great =] I just wish I collected them during it's era as I think I stopped Pokemon for a little bit when it was first released, then got back to it shortly around the Neo era.

Lol funny how you just randomly find them. Always a great bonus. But I have to agree, when I opened these boxes - they really were fantastic. Love the packs aswell...

And yeah, an updated gym series would be a fantastic idea, or even a revisted gym series set for the HGSS series would be a fantastic idea.

Haha I think i probably put these packs away thinking I didn't save any packs from the set.. or possibly they could be from a long time ago because I swore I pulled the "12" holos from the box I bought last year and I got a scyther in that too.

Oh it'd be a dream for me to have a revised gym series but I know it's unlikely especially with (what I believe) the new Johto cards coming to it's end soon when 5th generation games start popping out =P

Thanks man! Yeah the Scyther is awesome, it's definitely one of my favourite cards. In fact, the "rocket" cards in the gym set are all really awesome.
