"Stahlvormund", referring to the meanings of the two german nouns in it, can be interpreted as the Tiger being the most powerful tank on the battlefield and and is seen as the "Big Brother" of all tanks. A glorification of a definetely powerful tank.
Maybe a good translation could be "Tank Ace", "Steel Ace", "Steel Giant" or "Master Tank".
I know that Tiger Ace does not translate into that, because i'm a native german speaker. I was solely referring to "Stahlvormund", a combination of two nouns that makes no sense at all, at least in the Germany i grew up.
Just wondering what the developer of the games' intention was to express with that name, you know what i mean? It just sounds wrong..
@UncleCasey78 Fair enough - my bad, sorry. Seeing as I'm Australian, i really have no idea when it comes to German. Though 'Stalhvormund' does sound strange....
@UC1978 Ah - the 'Tiger Ace' part is specifically for views. The videos original name was 'Stalhvormund,' and only that because it's the name scribbled on the back of the tiger 205 2D model. The 'Tiger Ace' is in no way a translation.

Stahlvormund - Steel Guardian if I got my German correctly.
Good idea to use Panzerlied BTW, it was a nice touch.
