  • If anyone is looking for MIDI files of Numan's songs, I've uploaded a video with loads of files in the description of the video.

  • pure brilliance

  • 8 people have no soul or brain :)

  • @veracity74 with you nine

  • great song!!

  • HUBBA hubba- all his photos of when he was GORGEOUS!

  • thank u. I love this music. I'm 46 and since I was 10 I use to collect and listen to good music. The 80's are an irrepetible period of music, culture, subculture, ideals and fun!!!Love and peace to everybody Modifica | Rimuovi

  • dubyadubyadubya(dot)ambientelectronicmusic(dot)com

  • What are SUS?

  • カッコよすぎ

  • he could do with 2 weeks in Cyprus to give him a bit of colour

  • this is the greatest song ever

  • I always liked this song because it was so "whatever" sounding.

  • Flippin' genius

  • didnt know gary numan sampled sugababes...

  • @LUKEtheband they sampled him this song was made before they were born lol

  • @buzzby617 sarcasm

  • Another song I thought that was from the 80's, Gary Numan was obviously ahead of the time, cool song, I love those synthesizers =)

And @if5tatement 80's had a big recession even worse than these days(if you can believe that =/) but was a briliant decade because of the music and films etc, about 90% of the music was awesome, today about 90% of music is rotten shit.

Just shows how much things have changed(mainly for the worst).

    My opinion, agree or don't.

  • 3:05 looks like Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory (:

  • great song

  • 8 people's friends aren't electric.

  • Hey You! You missed out on great music !! Today music is not as important because its watered down by xbox ,android, iphone and all the other crap we dont need. You will never experience real cutting edge exciting music. To hear quality music every few months from great bands was an absolute privilege. You just had to be there.

  • @mesmerizeme Cut the crap grandad. Have you ever stopped to think that the reason you hear no "cutting edge excited music" is because you're out of touch? Rather than your condescending little jibe about how things were better in your day, when men were real men and music wasn't "watered down by xbox". What a load of bollocks. Face it, you're getting old.

  • Fucking illuminati!!!

  • now this is a slideshow i wont complain about.. i normally *HATE* stupid youtube slideshows, but when its reason for being is a tune as classic as this, it doesnt bother me so much :)

  • @cecedubya123 and he gets in cuboards for the mighty boosh

  • Gary Oldman finally looks old now lol

  • @cecedubya123 FUK YEAH

  • Woah never knew this was from 1979! I thought that this was from round 2005 o.o Love it!!!

  • Just brilliant!!Thats all!!

  • This really reminds me of the IT crowds into music.

  • i was born in 1993 but i loveeee 80's music!!! xx

  • @snarysorous Fucking snap! :D (not all 80s though :P)

  • Comment removed

  • @snarysorous tis is 70's

  • @sallyfieldrequired meh, late 70's early 80's.. still the same movement tbh, my bad tho, i stand corrected lol :)

  • @snarysorous you should have been there, it was mental!

  • @snarysorous same bro!!!!

  • @snarysorous same as me ;)

  • @snarysorous that was more late 70s

  • @snarysorous I was born in 74 and I love 80s music too, it is the best

  • @snarysorous

I was born in -79 and I love 80´s music as well. It´s honest. And already artists are trying to do this again. Röyksopp and Muse to name just a few. Analog synths are the bomb.

  • wow. sugarbabes sampled this with freak like me

  • @aedaii The sugar babes sampled loads of songs, c'mon you didn't think they were original now did you?!

  • @frankieflash I did kind of. I love freak like me cause of the backing track. I think they used it better with their lyrics.

  • @frankieflash sugerbabes are about as original as monkeys eating bannas!

  • seen him in bristol ,blew my mind and my electric blue corr4ds

  • Still Brilliant Gary,Timeless.

  • HAHA, Jim Parsons in the 80's. I always liked Gary's music. He's so into the future. XD

  • I got this from related from cars.

When I recognized it from NFS: Carbon, my brain exploded (After a 20 second delay of WHAT)

  • Cars = GTA Vice City.

Are Friends 'Electric' = NFS Carbon.

Why lieing? Great songs. Knowing music by games ain't bad. Like hearing them from the TV or the radio. They're just another way to recieve culture from other countries. I love both of these songs. Classic music will always prevail.

  • @FRSyndicate2

Vice City introduced me to eighties music.

  • @4543563 Well good! Make sure you listen to some Tears For Fears. Great band.

  • @FRSyndicate2

Tears for Queers, I already have.

    Great band.

  • @FRSyndicate2

Very true. But when kids come on here and say "OMGZ GTA VICE CITY!!111!!!!1" then it becomes irritating.

  • @FRSyndicate2

In fact, these games bring the younger generation to listen to these songs, keeping the 80s alive

  • @RainfulPhenix That's why they are so awesome! I remember my ear-to-ear grin when I found Cars. I couldn't believe myself. I remember playing Vice City and listening to that song, it made me crazy.

  • whats S.U.S suppose to be?

  • @CRileymcr he is saying issues. "like little girls and issues" to be honest it sounds a bit. . . well you know. . . but they are the real vocals! makes you think .

  • @stevenh915 Hes saying little deals & issues, theirs nothing weird about gary!

  • @cecedubya123 hahahaha

  • 1:25 cause he bought a plane :')

  • @cecedubya123 ...why is that so strange?? Famous people can afford flying lessons you know!! Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden is a qualified pilot, who actually works for an airline company between tours, Dave Rowntree from Blur and John Travolter are also pilots!

  • @coltsuperocean10 I think he became a pilot before he became a popstar, actually he is among the very few who can train aerobatic instructor pilots, but yeah, it's maybe not strange, but it's pretty cool!

  • NFS Carbon: Own the City

  • song kicks 4ss

  • Still sounds great on july 2nd 2011.

  • @sonicgsxr750, sorry mate, but that "zero" is an American T6 Harvard trainer painted up like a zero, its half of the "Radial Pair" display team he flies in. check out the Gary Numan - The Radial Pair - Slideshow on here . ;-)

  • he is a private pilot, keeps an old ww2 "zero" and flies it from an airfield near to me

  • it would appear that Gary is a member of the confederate airforce (he's wearing their uniform in a couple pics) which i think is based out of texas and is dedicated to restoring antique aircraft primarily from the ww2 era. at one point i believe it was the six largest airforce in the world.

  • sounds like the it crowd theme.

  • 1:19 Mr. Bean?

  • @mardianpb hahahah yeahhh

  • @cecedubya123 Is he a commercial or private pilot?

  • CARBON!

  • The funny part is, the hottest chick two grades above me introduced me to this guy!! lmao!

  • i love GTA game that gave this band a achance checkout cars good song

  • I was surprised to find this song in a game my son was playing and this brought back such nice memories ;-)

  • thumbs up, if your father loved this song and he had shown you when you were a small child :)

  • @locoawise They are cool

  • @33funnyguy at least you didn't claim it has to do with illuminati

  • @locoawise Is that a good thing?

  • @33funnyguy it' not annoying.

  • my 1000ml jug from asda hold a 500ml lager, a 440ml lager, and room to spare for the froth

  • OMG that plane in the stills shots is awesome!!!!

  • Im gay but love tess always and forever

  • Many where brought here by the boosh

  • @ayarcamil36

Or maybe by Need For Speed Carbon (this is the song I like most of all in that game)

  • Bruce Dickinson is one of the finest pilots ever flying Boeing 757s as Captain. He also flew RAF pilots home from Afghanistan.

  • He actually is a pilot... woah now.

  • nfs carbon!!!

  • He looks like Sheldon Cooper...

  • and I love how you put a pic of the Numan in a plane

  • How many were brought here by the polar bear, as I have been?

  • 80's are best.

  • Gen X rules

  • I loath todays pop music...so thankful for 80s music and cool youtubers :)

  • A legend. It's such a pity most pop music is so dull these days.

  • It´s one of the best songs on Need for Speed Carbon <3

  • Fantastic edition and song, greetings.

  • an artists that doesn't get the amount respect that he deserves

  • Pure genius. Ask Trent Reznor. Inspired Trent. WAY ahead of his time. This was made in 80? Depeche Mode, New Order, all the greats, owe a debt to Gary Numan.

  • Thumbs up if The Dead Weather brought you here.

  • @thommytaranto piss off

  • @frazbob1 I was just saying, a great brand brought me here and I'm discovering Gary Numan for the first time, It's really good!

  • @thommytaranto Just joking around mate. I do a pretty good Robot dance to this.

  • @frazbob1 It's cool man, the only depressing thing is, no one gave me a thumbs up.

  • brilliant!

  • three people are electric

  • Electric friends dehumanize.

  • the thng about Gary Numan is hes a real person and a nice bloke, not a pretentious wanker watch his clips/interviews here on utube................ps ive been playing his stuff since 79 m49 yes i really was there :)

  • hey...there're 3 dislikes...i guess they don't know anything about music...you 3 are FUCKERS...BASTARDS....BITCH....he sing even better than you...if you guys sing...i thing i have to vomit :))

  • he had a car accident right?

so he's kinda traumatized or wathever & he's not feeling very happy inside a car shaped box so THAT is why he prefers to ride the train / airplane or even hoverbike instead of the simplistic car

+ this guy used to be a genius

  • I hear he failed his road test three times and now rides the train.

  • Does he have a car license?

  • @jayaxe hahaha, muy bueno !!!!!!

  • cracking Tune................. dots......

  • even shit groups like sugar-babes have poached this sample 4 1 of they tracks....mayb they got a lil taste after all, THERE IS HOPE 4 ALL!!!!

  • Happy 53rd birthday Gary!

  • The son of a bus driver, a positive atheist, a sci-fi freak and talented. Good music too. Well done son.

  • like if you talk to the animals the zoo about gary newman

  • Need For Speed Carbon :)

  • it all makes sense with the lyrics...i understand!

  • adoro gary numan

  • I'd love to be stuck on a long flight sitting between Gary Numan and Peter Murphy. Two weird, immensely talented guys with a lot of stories to tell.

  • the thing about garythis that his music is werid but good and we need some more music that werid but good

  • I dig this.

  • wow what a powerful song

  • *Pumbum*good evening this is your captain speaking my name is Gary Numan,

  • oh men...there're 3 guys dislike...i'm mean what do they know about music....this is the best music of all times....Gary Numan's rules.....:d

  • Gary Numan is awesome-He has got the very first synth I designed for Kontakt 4-Gary and Ade Fenton have a the first copies.

It is a synth based on ARP's Quadra synth with added 16 step analogue sequencer.

If you want a copy go to my channel and see the video with the web address on.

    Peacex

  • Need for speed Carbon

  • Gary Numan he is an innovator and dreamer inside, in good sense, as most inventors aspire to be.

  • Watch that movie from the late 80s called Cherry 2000, it has Melanie Griffith in it and I am SURE they ripped off this song for the whole idea for that movie. Too bad that the movie was a flop.

  • Boosh.

  • Stand aside Sugababes...

  • gary numan is the begining of metal

  • @TheAngeljimenez not quite

  • @TheAngeljimenez no...Led Zeppelin is the beginning of metal.

  • Metal? you mean alternative music maybe?

  • gary rules

  • We would never have had these amazing tunes without it being by chance. GN found a moog synth left connected in the studio that he went to, to record a rock album.

  • God do I love the 80's. Wish I could relive it....

  • 2:11 "Howling Mad" Gary Numan.

I ain't gettin' on that plane, fool!

  • I really hate that floppy white hat on him, although the fedora was ok but the pic at 2:58 was the sex!

  • I didn't know he was originator of this style that followed after him 80's and until now. He was beginning for David Bow, Pet Shop Boy, Green Day, and so on. Thanks Gary Numan this is one of my personal fav style that till now enjoy in musics incarnated 2000's.

  • @symmetry08

beginning for david bowie.?..re u serious , get educated mate

  • Was Numan in Top Gun? I don't remember. But there's pictures! He's such a bad ass.

  • reminds of the first time (and few times) in my life a girl fancied me - i was only 11

  • You know this song is one of my favorite songs, ahh what a great song :D
