  • The thing that's most of a turn-on is someone who's responsive - tunes into your preferences, and flirts as much as you want, then tones down to be more serious.

Of course, it's hard to show that in a 30 second clip...

    Helen

  • We may prefer flirtatious men as flings, though I'm not so sure we'd want one as a boyfriend.

  • I think we should extriminate flirtatious men because they make the place look messy.

  • If the sound was turned on, women would be turned off.

    Just another scientific theory...

  • Yep thats true

  • He has HUUUUGE eyebrows!

  • it seem like he gestures too much with his face...but then again, I'm a straight guy so how should I know?

  • watch will & grace - the thing where straight guys act like gay men to fascinate straight women - that happens, dude.

  • terrific

I wish there was more to this clip. It's very interesting.

  • Yes that sounds quite likely, especially since flirting is a fairly contextual thing. To this society those head movements as he speaks along with raised eyebrows may well mean flirting, yet to a Neanderthal society there would be no speech to do those movements to so flirting in this manner would not exist. Therefore it can't be a biologically set thing to find this manner of flirting attractive, it must be socially influenced.

  • The idea that Neanderthals had a spoken language has been around for a little longer than 20 years or so... So that may not be true what you said.

  • From what I've learned, thats a very contested theory. Remains typically support a light language, not organized like ours, since their physical make-up didn't support a lot of vocals. Of course there are animalistic noises, grunting and so forth, but the idea they had a real 'language' is pretty hard to confirm. Just my 2 cents.

  • sign language is a real language - not all real languages are vocal. broaden your outlook a teeny touch, sweetie.

  • My girlfriend prefers quiet, timid and meek men. She hates flirtatious men. So how far did your research extend into the world population of the female species?

  • They say "typically", not "every single woman ever".

  • Exactly! But obviously some people can't read so they take it too literally and make themselves look like illiterate pillocks!

  • Most girls, i find, prefare the Strong, Silent type guys.

  • Guardian, are you spelling like a halfwit mentalcase for comedy effect? COS IT'S WORKING.

  • Yes but it's obviously just One of many enviromental factors Sometimes it is the other way around with the woman being flirtatious and sometimes women find a man who is already with a woman more attractive etc. etc. etc.

  • But do I have to draw dots on my face?

  • tbh its true i found being flirtacuis does work more than you know standing in the corner and never doing nothing

  • Brillient! An informative video and working article link. More of this please!

    now about those voice overs....

  • Looks like evolution works, again.

  • That seemed like a fairly obvious conclusion.
