this is my favorite game in the world it got me into rpgs and it is to underated. The story is beautiful the people you meet are all fun the story makes you feel for the characters and the monsters are all similar and fun to catch to me better then final fantasy 5

Is it just me, or does the 5th part in almost any series always turn out to be the most gorgeous one?

I mean it is like that with Dragon Quest 5 and Final Fantasy 5, both of them have this lush, green, pleasing overworld, enjoyable battles and a lot of fun things to do;

I have always loved the number 5 for this very reason, lol .

You know that DQ5 is an ps2 game to, and that there is an web page that has relished a patch that translate the hole game. I have resiliently finished the ps2 version thanks to them. (sorry about the spelling).

Very great game, I'm playing it at the moment and I can't understand why it's so underrated. I like the fact that you see your character grow older and that they included these "dating sim"-elements.

I have to agree, the music whilst on the boat is fantastic, and it just sounds so much better on the DS.

I can't wait for DQVI to get localized, and IX too, but to a lesser extent.

Yes it is. I should have to mentioned it in the first episode. I believe I mentioned it later. This is one of the first full translations I found. I've had this rom forever. I wonder if there are any other translations of the game.

Ok, I have this one as well (v2.01 - 2002). I had to quit DW4. My NES broke + deleted my saves. I was in chapter 5. DW4 is my favorite so far. I didn't know what to do, I've been playing DW practically everyday for months now. Luckily I remembered this fan translation existed or I'd have to go cold turkey. I don't have a ds or psx. I'm glad you started a let's play of this game.

This is my favorite DQ. Unfortenetly issues with zsnes made me stop playing (erased my saves, and I dont savestate) I was going to do it again, but now Im going to wait until I have enough cash for the DS version.

The DS version is very good. I have played it. There is an extra wife, more monsters(to collect too), party talk. It is just an amazing game. Too bad they had to change some of the names stuff but if you can live with that then I highly recommend it.

Yeah, the name changes aren't a huge deal, and party talk should add a little more character to the party members, since they usually lose alot of it once they join you.

i baught the DS version, its really awsome, played through it twice, but im still lvl 85 (main dude), been in the zenithian tower for 3 levels and still cant recruit king cureslime xD

The King Cureslime is really difficult to get. I wonder if the item trick works in the DS version. Check out my last video (of this game) to see how it works.
