Is there a trick to making him drop his guard,like at 00:14?

No matter how long I charge, he keeps his guard up.

To tell the truth am not too sure myself, you see i think he can just block single hits all the time, but wean you charge up and fire he drops his guard. I know it makes no sense but that what i did, nothing else i did was working, so i charged up and shoot and hope it hits before he hit me

Also, do you have any tips for fighting those little bots? (besides mastering the combat system. haha)

all i can tell ya that to me the bots fire randomly. i used the lighting elemental attack wean the bots get close to each so i hit more then 1 target. So i say wate till most of then are close. sorry i dont have anything better

Man, kudos to you. You make it look so easy. I found it easier to use a projectile attack against the Flying Saucers, I only used area attacks to clear them out a tad bit faster. Otherwise, I stuck to my projectile attacks.

last time I played this game was like 6 years ago... because of this boss....
