how much does an arthroscopy cost?

I just had one done in the US and it was $3000 for the surgeon and another $4100 charged by the hospital for supplies and recovery. Total with MRI around $10,000. Seemed ridiculously high to me.

Its only been 2 weeks and I feel great. No more knee pain. I have full flex of my knee joint. I still have to be careful for the next 5-6wks. No kneeling, or overbending the knee and no twisting. Part of the cost too was the took off the arthritis I did not know I had on the knee. So I figured that gave me extra wear time on that joint. I was up and walking the day of surgery. If you have a torn meniscus my advice is not to wait. Good Luck

iv had the same surgery done yesterday and i wish ihad of refused it its not the why they said it would be not for me it wasnt sadly
