  • ok the one at 3:24 waz pretty racist...

  • this isn't racist, most of these movies(only the ones tht were out) i use to love as a little kid

  • Poor Donald Duck. His heart is on the wrong side of his body!

  • WOW

  • lol wake up and smell the curry sauce, this isnt racist at all. next they will be saying the milky bar kid is raciest

  • africans do liketo dance, have you ever been to a masai tribe?

  • It's not that everyone's overly PC nowadays and sensitive about things. Admittedly some people are. But honestly if you look in older Disney films (and others) you will find not only various stereotypes but racist and sexist undertones. A lot of these films were made in a time where racism wasn't necessarily frowned upon as much in the way it is today and certain stereotypes were more readily accepted. Also Walt Disney himself was racist. These films do reflect the times, intentional or not.

  • Jesus Christ, are people still raging on this video? UMM GUYS?! These films were all made when African Americans and Whites were separated due to skin colour. DO YOU SEE IT IN TODAY'S DISNEY FILMS?! NO YOU DON'T. EXHIBIT A: The Princess and the Frog, The princess's skin tone? HMM? .So shove that up your pie hole before you try and ruin my child hood. THIS IS A 14 YEAR OLD TALKING.So in most of your eyes I assume you see me as a child. When in fact I am known for having strong opinions on things.

  • Stereotypes aren't racist, if they are true. Which all of these are e.g blacks are an inferior race, which is a true fact.

  • You have to take into account when these films were made. Most were during the time of the black and White minstrel show, which was average TV back then, not saying it's right in any way, but you need to remember that Disney weren't making them to today's standards.

  • i'm a black female , and i've never noticed it ... this video angered me now that I do ,but it's the past. that and you got to look at the time in which walt grew up in. he may have not even noticed the fact that he was doing it. I don't think that anybody should fine it normally, but I still like disney. don't spend the time in your life trying to point out things that are in the past (learn from it dnt live in it).

  • you really think kids notice this?

  • This is incredibly pathetic - get a life.

  • All I have to say is think of the time period most of these were created. It was different then

  • Ok that last clip was pretty racist I'm not gonna lie!!!!!!

  • It really ISNT RACIST...they didn't plan tht.

  • When I was a kid and growing up watching these films I never thought black people or Asian people or anybody was inferior. You just don't think like that when you're young. Watching it now it is clearly racist to us but considering Dumbo was made in 1941 it is logical to expect animators at that time to create stereotypical and offensive characters.

  • What?? I never see this Disney movie of the horse/people I gotta watch that.

BTW: Those cartoons were made of the times of racism, so just hate the time and move on.

  • those crows from dumbo were the cooolest, im white an i wish i had that swag

  • stereotype = racism? what is this blasphemy?

  • As a black person i can tell you that any intelligent black person watching this knows its racist but will not be offended.Purely for the fact that in this time it was NORMAL to be a racist and harbour views against minorities.Who in the 1950's WASNT a racist? at the end of the day this was made in a time where racism was rife and to them they werent even being offensive

  • I have to admit inserting an African American princess after the election of an African American president is too little too late for coverig up the yellow snow after generations and generations of princesses that all appeared to be "white."

  • @seth5220 with the exeption of mulan and jasmin

  • He says "fuck you" at 1:10 lololol

  • The most racist thing is that there is only one black disney princess... That one from "The Princess and the Frog."

  • ok most of those werent racist AT ALL and it was just a certain race doing something like dancing so the person who made this is racist. but i admit that the siamese cat one was racist.

  • come on, guys, sure it was racist, but Disney was from a different time. he was a well respected white man living in the reform era, cut him some slack, we know its bad now, that doesnt mean it was bad then

  • sometimes it takes a racist to see racism

  • Whats the one with the half horse ppl?

  • It was the times. It wouldn't stand today but those were different. I found some sheet music from the early 1900's with a black couple on the cover, dressed very nicely, entitled "Coon Melody". I don't believe it was intended to be derogatory but it sure looks that way.

  • only du last part was kinda of racist but du rest ...........i dont think it was racist

  • i didnt think any of this were racist, except for that last one, that was pretty racist

  • WTF!

  • this makes me sad :(

  • Jungle book=India

  • Since when are stereotypes harmless? Stereotyping is intrinsically linked to racism. People need to believe stereotypes in order for racism to work. It's a tool of dehumanization. If racism is the house then stereotypes are the bricks. So to to speak of these issues as "only" a stereotype as if it's harmless is incorrect. It's this denial that has a lot to do with why racism will continue to be a problem in our society.

  • @whatevamang It still takes a human mind to inhabit the house though

  • I grew up with this and never thought it was in any way racist- as in making out whites were superior. Sure, now in the enlightened age we live in now, where only white Anglo Saxon types are racist, they could easily be taken out of context. Lighten up, it's history and you can't change it

  • Thumbs up if you almost had a heart attack between 1:06 and 1:14

  • There's a difference between stereotypes and racism. This isn't racist.

  • @Cortez94 so you think its true that Asians can`t drive and all black people love chicken?

  • @PreciousRubine

That isn't racist, what you wrote is a stereotype.

Racism is when one culture, or people, believe they are superior to another. Where as stereotype is a simple classification for those people.

Example of Racism: Hitler saying Germans were the master race.

Example of Stereotype: All blond chicks are dumb

But, I do have to admit at 3:48 and so on, is pretty damn racist. And the answer to your question is No.

  • I FUCKIN HATE DISNEY WITH A PASSION!!!

  • I seriously see 100% zero racism...

  • wow, he didn't even mention snow white.

I mean c'mon "the fairest of all" That means whitest of all.....

So I guess you have to be white to be beautiful in snow white........

  • Can someone explain what was so rasist in Dumbo? :) I'm not saying this as a rhetorical question, its a general question.. what was rasist about it? Thanks :)

  • guys the we are siamese if you plese isnt rasist it means we are siamese so coz tats who we r

  • @thepiccolonarwhal wat u sey

  • @sinsduden whatever

  • about 3,000 who viewed this are racist LoL

  • I agree racism occurs in dumbo and fantasia but the rest, I mean you need to chill man cause it's not so racist in fact the monkey in the jungle book was voiced by a famous Italian singer not black. peace.

  • @angelikagh Dude its racist cmon....you gotta be blind....i dont have problem with the cartoons its old, some of them are funny. Unfortunately it was like that before. the older generations are still racist...shoot ...just sign of the times.

  • When i watched these when i was young i never linked the stereotypes to certain groups, i just thought those were parts for a show. The only ppl who follow those stereotypes are complete idiots-_-

  • walt disney did openly hate jews, and supported hitler, so i guess this is what we can expect ;) but tbh the majority of that was not racist 3:20 i guess they were no white people doing that but i dont think disney had the intentions to be racist soo trololo?

  • @W33D4BRICKS no he didn't. He openly ridiculed Hitler. Watch 'In the fuhrers face' .

  • @Mrijkus He was an antisemitic but he lived in america during the time they were at war with germany obviously they would have encouraged him to create propaganda towards hitler. he still had he same view that the jewish religion was not equal to others and therefor you can kinda guess that his views towards hitler weren't all negative.

  • @W33D4BRICKS It may be true he was antisemetic and he might have agreed with Hitler on some issues, but your argument about him being a public supporter of Hitler is not true.

  • @Mrijkus i guess :)

  • The monkeys were just scatting. It's a part of jazz.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, let me point something out, it's only racist if the intent is there to make it racist, and even then, it only matters if you point it out. With the exception of overly politically correct parents raising their kids, not many children will even realize that this stuff points to a single group. They'll just think it's a normal group of people, nothing more.

  • @TerrorofDeath1229 So if no one would have talked about the Jewish Holocaust or pointed it out, it would'nt have been such a big problem!? :D :D

  • @ReversePolarety If it's something like a joke or a movie, the racism is more than likely unintentional, so it shouldn't matter, buy you're taking what I said out of context and linking it to other material. I admit, I should have said "People only think it's racist if it's pointed out in jokes or the media"

  • @TerrorofDeath1229 Your argument is completely invalid - offense is taken, not given. The most important aspect is not what is intended by the creator, because the audience will always have the last say, and it is the perception of the people in the audience that matters.

  • @Purgatog But the simple fact is that if it is unintentional, then the fault is not placed solely on the creators. The simple fact is that everyone is racist, it's just to what extent are they racist. No single person in the entire world can deny this fact, but it sure as hell doesn't mean that it was an actual attack on any group or race.

  • @TerrorofDeath1229

I'm a white male from a politically incorrect country. But what is important to understand here is that there is such thing as subconsciousness, which is particularly vulnerable in the young age. It's like the 25th frame.

  • @TerrorofDeath1229 your right, and people need to realise that walt disney did grew up in the racist era,

  • @TerrorofDeath1229 I disagree with you, Im taking a sociology course in college right now, and we had a discussion over this. I think that when a group of people is used to describe a certain animal, like the hyenas (mexicans) in lion king, kids associate those animals with the group. My little sister said to me once at age 3, "look it's the crows!!" when she pointed out a group of old black men.

  • @baranator114 I totally agree with you. I have a very similar story in my family. When my little sister was around the same age as yours after seeing the movie Beauty and the Beast she thinks that every black and asian person in the world will rape her. That is also true with Snow White where she believes that midgets want to transport her to Mexico and remove her insides by sticking their hands up her asshole ripping the organs out. THESE MOVIES ARE RUINING AMERICA

  • @TerrorofDeath1229 There are a lot of arguments as to what racism may or may not be (seriously "it only matters when you point it out" I don't know how to take that statement) but you have to admit that these scenes include depictions of certain racial and ethnic groups in negative and stereotypical ways. How can you not notice the scenes with all of the black railroad workers and what they are saying? Or the scene in Fantasia? You don't think kids notice that?

  • Classic racist Disney! lol

  • That's because everyone in the 50's and 60's was racist

  • Comment removed

  • oh those were the good days... now its all affirmative action this, black power = activist.. white power = racist...

  • latinos aren't violent in that disney show hes a cowboy stop making walt disney look racist im still mad that people found the best disney movie song of the south racist

  • 2:02-2:15 at least Disney wasn't homophobic back then lol

  • ....? failtroll is fail

  • I don't really see it as racism if it's only directed as stereotypes. That's like blacks saying white people can't dance. It's just a stereotipe. Furthermore... If the character is presented in a good way I.E. he/she is a good guy, like the crows in dumbo I don't really see the problem. People just need to get a life and stop looking for every little crap to be offended.

  • i don't get the aristocats racist thing other than the fact that he's playing with chopsticks. He doesn't sound like a ra stereotype. He's voiced by Tigger.

  • @makinbacon2013 haha its more because of the fact he is speaking with a stereotypical accent and speaks fake Chinese and fortune cookies (they don't exist in China, its an american stereotype).

  • i have to say i laughed at the asian one

  • I'm LATINO!!!! AMERICAN GUATEMALAN!!!!!!!!

  • Some of the things in those films were racists, but in all truth thats the way things were back then. You have to remember it was totally different than it is now. Blacks were inferior in society. It was wrong but I don't think the animators meant it to be bad. Its like making a film and having the gardener Mexican. Thats not racists its just a stereotype of our world as we see it now. Hopefully things will change for the better in the future.

  • the so called white man is the true deceiver

  • this is dumb. you're way over thinking it. you took like any other race they used in a cartoon and made it into something bad.

  • What !? You can not ever have a black character serving a white character because of humanity's past ? Pffffff common, if it would be the other way around no one would say anything. It's just a movie for christ sake

  • close your eyes and listen at 1:56

  • That latino bird is one of Donald Duck's best friends. Well at least he's not racist.

  • LOL (in reference to your question Where are the black people). you answer here they are and show a clip of gorillas. Now who's the racist, fool?

  • This is a bunch of PC bullshit. I'm not a Disney fan, I hold no love for the mouse or his films. You have taken innosense film clips, out of context, and superimposed your politically correct view of life. Anything that does not match your thought process is considered racism. That is sickening. Your clips are an insult to all who have suffered through real racism.

  • A lot of this stuff is total bollox but that last clip was so blatantly racist I laughed out loud.

But come on, these were days where racism and segregation were an everyday part of life, is it any surprise that it is shown in the cartoons of the time?

  • @RomaInvicta1 I was just about to say this!

  • i didn't se the very "racism" but i agree with chalino68 that there are some sterotype. but nothing overexadurated.

  • Alright, why don't I take a shot at this. While the Fantasia bit was definitely kinda messed up, I can actually explain away the rest. Consider the surroundings and time for where and when each of these clips take place instead of taking them out of context, and you'll see that they fit. Siamese ally cat is gonna be Siamese, cats from the time period of Lady and the tramp are gonna steel milk, and cartoon monkeys in the jungle in an untouched by man society are gonna be silly. That's my stance.

  • I only see stereotypes. I can even laugh when people make stereotypes of my own kind.

  • I really don't get the one in the jungle book. I assumed it was just fun jibberish and dancing

  • kinda sad but i just learned most africans aren't black :(

  • people need to realise that racism and intent are not mutually inclusive or mutually exclusive topics. in the original version of Aladdin the first lines read "were they cut of you ears if they dont like your face its barbaric but hey its home" and that movie was made in the 1990s. thus these stereotypes are being further perpetuated throughout disney films not just the earlier ones..

  • They just speakin' jive in the jungle book, you need to get a hospital man to crack ya head open and re-jumble up the innerds, but the chump dont want the help chump dont get the help

  • "jim crow"

more than a coincidence I'd say!

  • Oh fuck, please stop with the racism paranoia !

  • people see racism as a negative, but really it just shows you people are just insecure about themselves and the lives they live, allowing other ethnicities and cultures in your life can be pretty frightening and its all fear driven no matter how much hate they throw at you we just have to learn to get along bit by bit, real question should be can religion conform with the rest of us lol

  • I AGREE with you!! So Racist on the down-low!

  • you have no life...

  • 2:41 They're white.

  • 2:41 I am so scared haha.

  • That is'nt rasism thats just people been fussy because they have nothing better to do.

  • That's no racist, it's accurate.

  • Excuse me, but Tony Montana isn't a Latino, he's Cuban.

  • thats hardcore racism right there!

  • the only racist around here is you bringing wonderful childhood memories connected to racism stereotypes

  • if disney was racist i was kind wondering why there was a middle eastern princess then? dont think he thought that one through

  • Man most of this isent raceist walt dizney WAS for sure. But you just cliped some shots together and called it raciest. Hey that's what EVERYONE does now a days

  • i cant believe someone would waste their time !! its movies for kids its NOT racist !!

  • Chest Boner? 1:57

  • you do realize that the black clips you have are from the 40's right? a lot has changed since then....

  • the one about the blacks.....man that was some racism 100%. that was bullshit and i watched this when i was a kid and didnt think much of it -_- fuck the old disney!

  • People do realize that the voice of King Louie is Italian right?

  • Yes disney does play into these stereotypes and uses cultural appropriation. People need to listen and learn instead of denying racism when they aren't in the place to do so

  • I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE EVIDENCE THAT DISNEY IS RACIST AND TRYING TO USE HIDDEN MESSAGES TO SEND THIS TO OUR KIDS BUT YOUR JUST STUPID XD

  • Aww, that was fantastic, "where are all the black people?"

"Here they are!" xD Hilarious, mate

  • Oh stop trying to ruin all my favorite childrens movies. If you seek out the negativity that's what you're going to find no matter how pure Walt Disney's intentions. I think the world would be a much better place if we all just assumed the best in people.

  • Racist, not racist, whatever. The bottom line is that Disney does feed into stereotypes and this IS harmful. Take American Indians, for example. Because of these kinds of movies people don't realize that they aren't "red", "mystical", "traditional", "one with the earth" and all those other stereotypes people associate with them. As much as I love Disney, they aren't helping they aren't helping the cultures they are misrepresenting. It becomes a problem when people don't know any better.

  • Disney might just be racist.

  • Fook is this shit...childhood memories where the best this aint racist

  • kinda better than this hypercorrect whitebashing world we live in now...

  • This wasn't that bad, actually..

If you spend all you energy and time looking for rasicm,

..guess what , you gonna find it.

But if we put our focus to se good in people, we will find that to.

  • The world is too far into racism and clearly most people have no idea what art is when they see it.

  • Thing is though... most of the characters in this vid weren't from Disney's racist mind, just teaching children of the different cultures and nationalities of this world. Heck, just by saying the people in this video are racially "offended" then that makes you racist by having any indifference.

  • You know... Tiana is the first black princess. Sure you've got Pocahontas and Mulan, but they were taken from factual historical events. Tiana is the first original one.

  • ok, so walt disney uses generalistion a bit too much at times, but will that really stop you from watching dumbo, the aristocats and any other classics? if so, you are clearly deluded with anti-racial paranoia and need to seek PROFESSIONAL HELP. if you are now going to condemn me for my view on this matter, you are just proving my point. i have spoken, you may now all f*ck off

  • He was racist. He lived in a time where it was acceptable. I don't condone it nor would I find it amusing. But it is hinted in a lot of his work about stereotypes. But I've looked past it. I just enjoy the films which are great regardless.

  • disney= illuminati watch their logo theres 666 in it

  • we dont need a mexican princess. why? so you mexicans can bitch at disney for stereotyping you people? like the blacks did with the princess and the frog? STFU we need to stick with the ORIGINAL PRINCESSES damn. and btw mexican isnt a damn race. -___-

  • wait a second, im NOT racist, but i DO find this stereotyping and racist. Wonder how they would draw an arab, would he constantly be blowing himself up ?

  • i am racist and i find this disney!

  • I find this both rasist and racist.

  • 00:01 to 00:35 .. good times good times

  • Walt Disney.........................An alcoholic, womanising, xenophobic, plagiarising hypocrite......who built an empire and made films which have yet to yield an original thought other than making anyone not white Christ worshipping people out to be the evil of society... in short whats the difference between walt disney and adolf hitler????????? a German accent!

  • Comment removed

  • @ChazwoldAlmighty Austrian Accent, to be exact.

  • @swissrammsteinfan cheers I know but dame difference you Swiss test

  • King Louie in the Jungle Book was Louis Prime, and Italian Singer. Not black.

  • I would of liked to see more of each clip, i can't help but feel many of the scenes were taken too far out of context which made them look much worse then they were intended.

  • @Nakedpanda102 I totally agree, the real racist scenes where just the last ones. Not the other i think.

  • I could agree out of touch and stereoptyped, but NOT racist. Just misinformed, and there is a huge difference. Intent to defame or insult is the most important requisite of racism, and these clips lack it.

  • everyone i know wanted to be the 2 zebra centaurs when they were little lol.

  • The crows from Dumbo are kind of racist, but otherwise, it's just Disney and the inability to have more than one movie with a black person in it

  • WHOEVER SAYS THIS ISNT RACIST NEEDS TO BE S L A P P E D !! THIS IS OBVIOUSLY RACIST AND DISNEY IS RACIST THERES SO MANY PROOF OF IT.

  • I hate when people over use "African American's" and in this case misuse it. It's the jungle book, I'm pretty sure it doesn't take place in America so how in the hell are they African Americans? It doesn't kill anyone to say black people, It's not racist or offensive if you don't use it in a racist or offensive way. Why is it the suburban white people who try to stand up against racism when the only black people they see are on tv? I'm out of characters and have so much more to say...

  • Like this if you couldn't care less about the "subliminal messages" in Disney. Disney's fun and cute. Quit trying to be a jerk and ruin it for others.

  • @TheConeOfShame2 this video is not looking into Subliminal messages. most of these movies shown in this video are a product of their time. meaning, it was normal and ok to show these things during the time they were made vs. today in 2011

  • i miss the days when you could do a joke without people screaming RACIST!

  • lol

  • why isnt their a mexican disney princess -.-

  • @calidascope0841 you know, i just did a big project on disney's evolution of race, class, and gender stereotypes and i brought this up. If you look at their upcoming projects....its not even on their radar. Which i think is crazy considering they could probably come up with some great music for the soudntrack with latin american influences.

  • @calidascope0841 Just wait, there will be one eventually.

  • @calidascope0841 because there were never kingdoms in mexico? perhaps?

  • @Redmilitiageneral -.- wtf mexico is very pretty you know if you ever put your racism outside to go visit it

  • @calidascope0841 So me stating the fact that mexico is a REPUBLIC and not a KINGDOM is racist? you trully are an idiot. Stop being oversensitive.

  • @Redmilitiageneral you do NOT know what i've been through just because i'm mexican so dont call me over sensitive

  • @calidascope0841 Fine. youre not oversensitive. youre just an idiot.

  • @calidascope0841 lets watch HBO

  • @calidascope0841 Because Mexico doesn't have a monarchy, you dumb shit!

  • @calidascope0841 or asian

  • @ObsidianArmos mulan

  • @calidascope0841 NEVER!!!!!!!!

  • @calidascope0841 that girl from "EL DORADO" is a hispanic princess

  • @GGjenesaisquoi Dreamworks.

  • @calidascope0841 She vanished after sneaking across the border in a sweltering semi-truck. Rumor has it she won't surface until she has delivered an anchor baby.

  • for arabs too .they mixed arabic culture with indians

  • How do you suggest they give animals characteristics without using stereotypes. Oh the cats are racist because they have slanted eyes and have asian accents, well take those away how are we supposed to know they are asians. If the crows and monkeys didn't jive how are we supposed to know they are americans of african descent. I like the failure to point out the white stereotypes. Oh a fat white guy, a white princess/prince, and a slave owner. Because all white people are one of the above.
