One flew over my house when i was about ten (when they use to have the air show here in town). I was just out riding my bike, and all of a sudden this giant (or so it seemed then) of a plane came out of nowhere. It seemed it was barely clearing the tree tops. The sound alone was a life changing experience, one that I'll never forget.
I got too once, when the IDF still used them in the 80s. It's a lot different (and scarier) than jumping from a Hercules; you pass right under the elevator.
Man i love those c47's i say they are the most awsomest planes ww2 had... Annyone aggreed with me??
