  • Is that a bucket full of dog food? If so, I would think it's not a good idea to let the anteater on top of it because the dog is watching and getting mad as hell.

  • @PETETHEMEAT42 Hyzzie only growled at the end because she had a sock and likes to play that way.

  • Is that the noise it makes? That sort of hissing sound?

  • @PETETHEMEAT42 Yes they talk with hisses.

  • 1:18 LOL "Don't just stand there, do something!"

  • What a little stinker!

  • You know, I could see you living with a potbellied pig. They also make great pets and get along with pretty much any animal or human.

  • @Thewoog34 I worked with them before and am really not that fond of them. No offense to people who do like them.

  • I am really, really impressed by the way you treat your animals. They are lovely and cute, yes, but what I can see is that you have a made a significant contribution to this by the way you keep them, talk to them and obviously love them. If only all keepers of "exotic" animals were acting like this - with this special mixture of responsibilty and love. Great work, all the best for you and your pet family :-)

  • @MisterSilvest Thank you.

  • i want an anteater but im not sure if they are all this nice, how often do they bite people and can it really hurt?

  • @seanziess They don't have teeth but they can do damage with their claws. They are very strong for their size. And no they aren't all this nice. They aren't aggressive but will fight if they feel threatened.

  • @seanziess They don't have teeth but they can claw and pinch at you. One raised with people will be nice but most tend to squirm when held if they aren't in the mood.

  • Either they fight just like people or I'm really baked

  • Dog " LOOK WHAT HE IS EATING MY FOOD LOOK !!! "

Anteater " Like I care this is my food now you mer dog"

    Human "LOL"

  • it can paint??? anything in particular or just random blobs?

  • @xemosintightsx Mostly just random lines but he would choose colors by refusing to paint till I changed the color on the brush.

  • subbed. love these animals

  • is he stinky?

  • @tutor432 They have skunky smelling pee.

  • i would really love an anteater, ive heard some people calling them "unpredictable" i guess even if this is true, i wouldnt mind it. but i have a question for you. how would you judge the overall behavior of your pet? intelligence-wise, tendency of demeanor, how they interact with the rest of your pets, etc?

  • @neverwillyouever If you google "anteater FAQ" and "Anteater Care Sheet" you should find mine. That should help you. I've had several through here and they all have their own personalities. They are playful but don't normally care for other pets.

  • well my anteater thought the letters on my essay were ants.

  • And I thought the more exotic animals are supposed to be more aggressive. XD But still, it look like the anteater is in a healthy, loving home. *thumbs up*

  • Are they real smart? Like smarter than rats and octopuses?

  • @pokemonfanatic123 They are smart. Stewie was the smartest and learned all sorts of things including how to paint.

  • @TamanduaGirl does he draw ants?

  • @TamanduaGirl WTH????????HOW DO THEY PAINT? CAN U SHOW A VIDEO? OR DESCSRIBE? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW!!!

  • @chun2005 They can hold things in their hands using their claws like fingers so by holding a brush.

  • Dog- Wth is that thing!

  • Dog: HEY, STOP THAT'S MINE!!!

Anteater: (burps) You snooze, you lose

  • paus at 0:10

  • Save the anteaters; Kill a chihuahua. :P lol

Just kidding- Pua is gorgeous. :)

  • and! the anteater would fucking pwn a dog in a second. have you seen theyre claws niggah!

  • @sedorexox Wrong. Dogs by nature would destroy an anteater. For goodness sakes it's an anteater.

  • lol Just saw the end. Your dog hates you for bringing those things into the house. I don't blame him really. He probably feels betrayed, especially with you letting them eat his food like that. You really don't seem to know a thing about animals. Shame they let just about anyone keep them these days.

  • @Devilock79 My dog likes to play that way. She had a toy and wanted to play keep away.

  • @TamanduaGirl

Eh, we've had dogs since I was 4 years old. That dog is not playing, it's growling intensely. That is not a playful sign. As I said, you don't have a clue about animals. Feeding an anteater processed cheese and dog food is clear evidence of this. Please find a good home for them before you end up killing them.

  • @Devilock79 It's a play growl. Its not uncommon for mini pins. All play behaviors are based on serious behaviors. She used to be feral and had to learn to play gently but the growl is just play. I can take things if need be. If you ignore her she shoves the toy under your hand till you play so she can growl I can kiss her on the muzzle while she's doing this. She's 11 and we've had her since 8-12 months and I've not had my face ripped off yet ;)

  • @Devilock79 Pua is just digging in the dog food for fun not eating it. She gets dirt to dig in but she enjoys this too sometimes.

  • @TamanduaGirl

Well, you seem to be oblivious to the fact that you are abusing these animals. I've been watching your other videos and what you feed them is absolutely disgusting. These animals are not humans. They are carnivorous and cannot digest processed cheese and tomato ketchup easily. You will kill these animals if you keep feeding them this crap. Either learn what they are supposed to eat or get rid of them. You shouldn't have these animals and should really have them taken off you.

  • @Devilock79 If you really had watched more than a couple videos you would see what they really eat, which I worked hard on to match their wild nutrient needs and I even had a blood test to show it works right and is balanced. Many animals have since benefited from using it. You are obviously just trolling.

Most pet treats are much worse than the treats I give. Show me your posts to dog owners chastising them for feeding biscuits and beggin strips.

  • @Devilock79

DUDE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HER OR WHAT SHE FEEDS THE FUCKIN THINGS

you dont know if the dogs pissed, or if its playing

    SO GTFOOO

  • @sedorexox

Maybe you should watch some of her 336 videos, particularly the ones where she's feeding these anteaters ketchup and cheese in a can. God knows what else she feeds them. One day she'll give them the wrong thing and they'll just drop dead. She feeds them this mix of raw meat, grains, and molasses that was phased out by professional keepers in the mid 80s. She has no clue how to care for these animals.

  • @Devilock79 Randomly throwing ingredients together was mostly put aside for kibble because they didn't die as quickly but the kibble diets are not balanced enough and it can cause spinal problems that cause them to die younger than they could live on a balanced diet. I did a lot of work to make a diet mix that closely matches up to the nutrients that they get in the wild. Many struggling animals have done great once switched to the beef diet mix.

  • @TamanduaGirl Even my chickens do great on a beef diet mix. No chicken food - natural grains, oyster shell and vegetables with some beef in small amounts. They overun natural occurances of protein(worms and bugs) so it is supplemented with beef. And no kibble for my cats either. All natural meat. They eat better than I do, Lol

  • @breebw Yeah my dogs don't get much kibble either they get a cooked dinner and a raw meaty bone for breakfast.

  • @Devilock79

dude, i have watched the videos, and theres nothing wrong with giving your pet treats sometimes!

its like saying its cruel to give your dog bacon from the table.

    GTFOOO

  • @Devilock79 If they are carnivores, why do they have such a great time munching on some fruit? I think it is you that know nothing about animals. I have also owned dogs my entire life, and dogs can absolutely growl and snarl when they are just playing. And, TamanduaGirl is right, you are just singling her out because she has an unusual pet. Why don't you find a video of someone feeding ice cream to a dog and get on their case?

  • @gorgonbunny There has been recent documentation of tamanduas eating fruit. They mostly eat ants and termites but are smart enough to take advantage of easy food like fruits. Tomatoes are native to South America and ketchup has tomatoes. It also has vinegar and they need acid in their diet. Ketchup is actually a healthy treat for them, long as not in excess.

  • how well can they be trained? i mean can they be potty trained to go outside and stuff?

  • @Gage0831 Yes but not as reliably as a dog. I can take Pua to a pee pad and tell her to go pee pee and she will though sometimes it takes her awhile. She tends to pee just once a day. though wets her bedding when sleeping in the washer. Their instincts and hormones still win out sometimes and they will try to go where they shouldn't.

  • that dog was just waiting for pua to get down p.s. love your videos

  • Wow they have such a small head :3

  • 2:58 holy shit that dog is pissed

  • I'm curious, what are the different sounds they make?

  • @rhavvie They make different hisses and have a sort of growl. I've heard Stewie whine sort of when Pua would pinch him to hard.

  • 1:20 cuteness

  • funny...

  • The dog is like, "This is madness! Due something, master!"

  • iis Pua making that hsshhhhshshshshshhshshshs snoise? also is she puffing up cuz she looks flat but wide

  • @DoomsdayKillz Yeah that's Pua hissing. I'm not for sure if she was yelling at the dog or she scared herself with the sound of the kibble falling.

  • @DoomsdayKillz Yes she's making that noise. They do puff up some when doing it but their chests are shaped similar to humans which is kind of flat and wide to start with, unlike most species which have a barrel chest.

  • Oh had answered already but that's okay I hadn't said about the chest structure before.

  • wow what an amazing animal. Are they affectionate? or is it more of a look dont touch

  • @sarahdoodles She's very affectionate and playful. It takes time and handling to for them to grow to trust you fully. She loves to play but I haven't heard of ones kept in an enclosure instead of a home setting to be playful and affectionate like she is.

  • When the dog crys of barks he looks up like what was that!!!

  • To be honest when I read the title I was hoping this would at least involve nipple clamps...

  • @cannon420cra They come with those built in, big front claws. A pinch to the breast isn't pleasant.

  • ha ha ha reminds me of my kids :D still need a puppy though ;)

  • for all of those who want a tamandua as a pet, they should not be kept as pets, Tamanduagirl, i'm not condeming you or your pet, you seem to take very good care of her. keeping any anteater as a pet is very dangerous & very unethical. Most of the anteaters are endangered & ALL of them have extremely large claws that can & will do damage. From my experiance ( im a zoo keeper, i take care of 2 tamanduas & a giant anteater) they are just hard to take care of. DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GET ONE PLEASE!!

  • You say keeping one as a pet is unethical and I have one as a pet. How is that not condemning me? None of them are endangered only the giant anteater is listed as CITESII(threatened or potentially threatened).

It does take work and research to keep one well and most people would be put off by the smell issue. So I don't recommend getting one either for most people but don't see anything wrong with it to someone dedicated to caring for one well.

  • @TamanduaGirl

I'd imagine they're pretty expensive, but they're adorable. How would I go about getting one?

  • @Corbin800 yes and many dogs have teeth and claws that can and will do damage if they bite you, but does that stop people from keeping them as pets?

  • @Savaril i will say the same for dogs, under the wrong person a dog can be a dangerous animal. always do research before you get any kind of pet, hell even a mouse can bite and will do damage.

  • omg that is funny xD

God I wish I had one of them

  • where can i get one? i want an anteater! but i dont know where to find one!

  • try africa

  • 1:19-1:23 yoor dogs like mom pick that shit up ...i eat that!!!+he is sooooo kute i love love the doggie more

  • what a vindictive little shit!

  • She's fascinating. What are the anteaters like, psycholigically? Are they more self sufficient like cats, or more child-like like dogs? Does she like to be petted/held/talked to, sit on your lap and things like that?

  • id like to kno too

  • Google my "anteater FAQ" that talks about it some. I've only had the two so far and their personalities were very different. Pua likes to snuggle but only when she feels like it and she is a momma's girl and ignores others. Stewie was less snuggly but more out going. Very playful but the girls can be moody(monthly cycles). Both genders can be stubborn.

  • she wants to dig 4 her food

  • Love your anteater! What was he/she getting out of the bucket?

  • It's dog food so I don't think she is getting anything unless she is licking some crumbs out. I think it's just fun.

  • this house is filthy!! clean up your cluttered room!

  • Filthy and cluttered are two separate issues. The container Pua threw down as it had been on the lid of that bucket. The whisk broom was obviously there because I was cleaning something. Ice cream bucket has rabbit food in it. Aside from a piece of packaging that's about it for clutter. Messy blankets on the bed isn't really clutter but was due to being laundry day.

  • your just waitng for that poor dog to die arent you

  • Stop favouring your anteater. dogs have feelings too

  • is that pua making that funny noise whenever his/her head's out of the bucket??? :)

  • Yes. I think she was chewing out the dog.

  • is it legal 2 buy one in reno nv???

  • No Nevada is a very anti-exotic pet state.

  • is it even legall to own anteaters ?

  • Depends on local laws.

  • poor doggy

  • Where would you find out if its legal to own one in a specific state?

  • You can look at the state codes but most states the governing bodies are the state agriculture dept and the fish and wildlife office(name sometimes varies but each state has one).

  • aahhh!-_-

  • Hyzzie needs a video of her own that's what i think.

  • Your dog SCARES me lol

  • fuck you i'm an anteater

  • lol! 2:54 - 2:59, your dog looks like it wants tamandua flesh ripped from the bone there! lol

  • I was surprised no one mentioned that sooner. Hyzzie is the wildest critter I own, lol. She was growling at me though.

  • is that hissing noise coming from Pua?

  • Yes. She seemed to be chewing out Hyzzie.

  • allready wondered what it was, sounds a bit weird.

  • this clips is surreal. Do you have lots of ants in your house?

  • Nope no ants unless we bring them in. Though one time some came in to get something someone spilled and Pua liked that. I don't find many in the yard either.

  • Aww. So cute! The poor dog really is concerned about what Pua's doing to the food! :)

  • hahahaah 1:21 the dogs gives you that look:

    "for gods sake do something!!"

  • Hyzzie is looking at you like, 'can't you do something about this?'

Is Pua looking for something in the dog food?

  • I really don't know why she does it. I guess it's just fun.

  • Well it's hilarious.

Especially the part where you ask her if she's dropping it on the floor and she looks like she's stopping to think about it.

"Why I'd never though of that. Floor it is!"

  • I tell you, Hyzzie's angling for canonization as St. Hyzzie the Abused. That look of betrayal! And Pua, managing to play damsel in distress while digging away. So much drama in the Tamandua household!

  • I love these videos! More please!

Pua is a darling! She 'speaks' in this video - a rare treat!

Her coat is beautiful and shiny! I hope she gets a Mate soon. He'll really love her, she's so pretty! She still has her scars, poor thing...

  • Yeah all of her hair didn't grow back in some spots from her illness but she's doing great.

  • Pua's coat is shiny beautiful!

it took a moment for me to realize that the hh-hh-hhhh-sshh-hhs-sss was Pua making noises at Hyzzie. LOL Tell Pua she's silly and that the snake lady in AZ sends hugs and finger pokes her way.

  • Yes, that's normally her upset sound but I think she was chewing Hyzzie out, like anteater trash talk.

  • It's actually a really cool sound, I'm going to have to sample it...

  • It almost sounds like a continuous loop of the Roland R8 sound "Shadow"

  • aww cute anteater!:)

  • Hey! It's me Tracie, from sybil's message board, hope this is who I am looking for lol. XD
