People, let's face it. It was a game with huge ambitions for itself. It was the first fps game with a physics engine, extremely complex AI (even tho it did slow down when u got near, but patches and mods have fixed that lately), and when was the last game u played where u had to look at a chicks boobs to look at your health? Crysis was inspired by this ambitious game and became the 2nd fps with physics. This game right here was rated the worst game of the year due to horrible glitches and bugs

Man this scared me when I was little! Too young to realise games could have design flaws, I just felt claustrophobic with the mechanics.

There were crazy times when I had to escape a raptor by entering a keycode for a door. With the arm. Which was controlled by the mouse. Like running on the spot in a nightmare.

But I finally got off the island thanks to "WOO"!

This game was ahead of its time, concept-wise; however, the physics really suck imo. You can't even hold a gun properly w/o bending or turning your wrist. Also, stacking crates to get to a higher platform is just a pain in the butt.

Despite the flaws, some of which were quite horrible, it was actually a fun game in some respects, especially when it came to experimenting with the physics. There were some scary moments too involving raptors. It is pretty much a weak point for PC gaming, but it was stepping out a bit and doing things that hadn't been tried before. Some may not remember, but actress Minnie Driver provided the voice for the character you play.

@UnexplainedDirge Yup, i say this is the second worst because their are SO many bugs, a good initial concept, but i wouldnt even let it lick my butt sweat. It failed miserably to become a reality, and the 2 things that were actually put in the game by the developers and not just an accidental bug are-

1. The Boob Tattoo Health Meter

2. She announcing the amount of ammo in each gun.

And E.T. is the worst because...well you know....

@newgrounds97 Despite the annoyingly amount of bugs and glitches in Trespasser, I'd say it's one of my favorites, even still today. Mostly because there hasn't been a dinosaur game for the past couple years. (Or any good ones for that matter.) Plus this game was pretty revolutionary for '98 with all of the physics and ragdolls. It was a complete breakthrough. An unfinished one. Such a shame they didn't finish.

As for E.T., yeah, completely terrible. No argue there.

Holy crap, IK physics for holding objects? A lot of the other stuff in the game is a bit iffy, but that's pretty awesome. Seems odd that she can pick up stuff sitting on the ground while she is standing up, though...

Not really. Trespasser used the first and only physics engine ingame. HL2 using only an emulation of physics. But it is really one of the best.

Not even this video can proper demonstrate how annoying the gameplay was. You had this damn arm that flailed around like you had Parkinsons. I never saw a dinosaur cause I quit after 20 minutes. I tried to stack two boxes but they apparently were opposed magnets and zoomed in opposite directions. It scared me so much I tried to shoot them but, of course, I missed since I couldn't get my arm to stop swaying.
