  • This isn't mod you assholes; this is fucking punk.

  • I heard this in a skatevideo..

Does anyone know which one? :D

  • I'd like to see the Mods footage with Fire's "My Father's name is Dad"......

  • 'I Wanna Be Free' is currently used in a Dutch tv-commercial. I wanted to check out more about them, seems I've done a great discovery!

  • Amazing band. Oh, what the Cramps have taught me...

  • mods we are mods!!!

  • Great song

  • It make one long for a mod-revival... ;-)

  • great video, but it would look better without the negative effect.

  • yeah, i keep meaning to do another video for this, might give it a go this week....

  • @blacflag fuck that keep the negative bro, totally fits

  • @zosothedestroyer I'm with you on that.

  • RAKESTRAW " THE STREET RAKE"

  • My Grandfather is the one singing this song his name is Luck Floyd. I havn't his songs he wrote with the band in a long time i dont know where the cd's are I think my dad has them but ya they were pretty amazing

  • hi there, you may be able to help...i'm looking for band photos for a relative of drummer jimmy marriot....scans of absolutely anything would be good, there's a bit of urgency about it........i also posted their 'oh, girls & the hip' tracks....i didn't know they had released anything on cd, other than this on compilation, i did hear rumours that one had been made of the a's & b's of the singles, but no one seems to have seen it, any idea?

  • @iwuy you ve got great genes!!!!!!

  • Also covered by Pittsburgh-area group the Swamprats, in a totally over-the-top fuzzed-out manic style. Both versions are killer.

  • 0:21 all the truth... ;D

  • RAW 60s FUZZ PUNK MAN!

  • Sounds a lot like the Monkees song "Not Your Stepping Stone!"

  • The vocal style also sounds remarkably similar to 'Bummer In The Summer' from Love's Forever Changes.

  • anyone know where i can listen to their other singles besides this and no friend of mine? i basically mean: "the hip" or "something that you said" or U.T." (for "Untitled") or "jack and the beanstalk" ???

  • somebody did mention there might have possibly been a cd release of their singles some time ago, but i've never seen a copy anywhere......i seen a scarce french ep - i want to be free - going at fraction of price last week.

  • Sundazed records have recently released a Sparkles 3 track 7", with the tracks No friend of mine, Hipsville 29 & I want to be free... well worth the $5 I paid!

  • @alexaspin1 - yeah, i have all the original 45s, that sundazed one is a good starter but it'd be good to see them on cd.

  • Very nice work! I love this song, and the video definitely does it justice.
