i built a 65 gallon cage it is 65 gallon long i have a heat pad and a light and aspen as bedding i should be perfectly fine witha full grown ball python right?
is it ok if the top of the cage is also glass? or?? bcuz i have the lights above this top.. so the heat will still go inside without problems or shouldnt it be glass? i'm sry for my english xD but i hope u understood me..
The problem with this video he mentions keeping a yearling PYTHON in the tank he does not say which PYTHON because something like a Burmese or African Rock Python the tank will not be big enough
They need to compact some of their videos. It's dumb when they just cut the videos in half just to make their video count goes up it seems. 99% of their videos are under 2 minutes
it was mentioned to use a plastic shoe box for baby snakes, is it important for it to start off in an enclosure that size or will it be ok to put straight into a larger enclosure? and if so how long should it be in a small enclosure like that?
hey, you want to put your snake into a tank that is big enough for it to stretch out fully, height wise and width, if you put your snake into a huge tank it will feel small and frightened, where as if you put it in a small tank it feels dominant, also the smaller the tank the more the snake will eat
I caught 2 blue garter snakes......i think.....i gave my small 1 2 my friend (about 2ft long) and my big one is still there.(about 2 1/2-3 ft) what size shud i get 4 it?
lol answer me this in thw wild how come babies arnt stressed out in the many fucking sqaure MILES of land it sorounds it. as long as the baby has plenty of places to hid and plenty of cover any size tank should be fine, and pretty soon hell venture out and clam that whole terratry. and plus it will make the snake more active since its explore the whole ank and stuff, a smaller tank isint nessacerly better, if you know how to keep snakes your snakes should thrive
Bahaha. Seriously. Let's like, condemn the little snakes to total isolation by putting them in small ass enclosures. If the tank it's being kepped in exposes the snake too much, it'll fear some bird will swoop it. Plenty of hiding places is enough to calm the snake.
exacly, expert village sucks ass i unno why there still in buiness they dont know shit about snakes they probly read it off the internet then make a video, but yea if the snake has plenty of cover theres no reason for the snake to be stressed, in the wild there not in some lil shoe box, think about it.

What you have to do is have more sand to make it deep, then put in a water bole to make it look like a pond for the snake...

they dont explain this point very well, smaller snakes can do VERY well, if not better in a bigger enclosure as long as heat and temps are kept up
and you put MORE than one water bowl in the tank
a reason why it would get stressed is if it didnt have enough water or hides.
expert village sucks
