Kenny and I have become friends over the years as well as his band, the best thing is he remembers my name to me that is the best part if my life. So rock on, KENNY good luck in what ever you do now. Ladydemi1000
I had forgotten all about this obscure Kenny Loggins song, and I had purchased the 7" in '85! It is interesting that Loggins' soundtrack singles are more remembered today than his other works.
When we think of Kenny Loggins, great songs like "I'm All Right" and "This is It" come to mind. They are great songs of course, but this song is a good one too that really did not get any attention but deserved it. It's good to see it posted here. The video isn't too bad either!
Kenny Loggins is with out a doubts one of the biggers singers of the 80´s , all his songs are always an explosion of energy, in special this is one, very funny and happy is awesome !!!! about the drummer...such a handsome guy!! i would like to know about him, his name , his phone..lol.
@monica4169 lol.... that's Tris Imboden on drums; he was a very prolific session drummer/percussionist back then. He did quite a bit of work on David Foster's many productions, if I'm not mistaken. Sorry I don't have his phone number. lol...
The blonde keyboardist sure looks like Marilyn Martin ("Night Moves" and "Separate Lives - duet with Phil Collins"). It would makes sense, as she provides background vocals on this album.
I've vaguely remembered this song for years, and dimly associated it with The Cars' "You Might Think" video. I guess only because the band in one video is on a painting, and the other is on a bar of soap.
Hilarious video. I love how everybody in the band was obviously told to smile huge for the camera. I also love how the bass player looks EXACTLY like Lionel Richie from the same time period.
@PencilNeckedGeek ... but it looks so very genuine. Tris Imboden, in particular, looks as though he needed no direction to smile. The happy vibe is infectious here; it seems genuine, and I love it.
@PencilNeckedGeek .... you really think he looks like Lionel? The only similarity I see is the hairstyle, both on his head and above his lip! The face looks NOTHING like Lionel's. Actually, this bass player looks more like one of the Lewis brothers from Atlantic Starr, or like he could be Nick Ashford's younger brother! lol....
That was fun

It sounds like Kenny threw in the "Vox Humana" lines so he could have a title track. Those lines have nothing to do with the rest of the song.

This song seems to have a Footloose type of feel to it but I still like it:)

thank you very much for the information, yes , he is Tris Imboden, i have seen others videos about him, is a great drummer!

@monica4169 I think he's been the drummer for Chicago for about 20 years now. Great drummer. He replaced Danny Seraphine i believe.

That's legendary percussionist Tris Imboden on drums there... and is that Nathan East on bass? Maybe?

It only went to #29? Wow. I'm surprised it didn't hit #1. I wonder if this song inspired George Michael when he came up with "Faith."

Play robbie nevil's neighbors. Did he jack this song style for his neighbors ? I vote guilty.
