I'm sort of a computer game developer... I enjoyed watching this video, to see what people want in an MMORPG. A point I would like to share is player experience. With the MMORPGs that I have played, the focus is directed to levels starting at a base point., rather than considering before-hand experience from life its self. Isn't there a way to dim the focus on levels, and bring a thoght to life-experieced used in the game (e.g. Covert mission vantage points).
I've played just about every MMO, and, didn't really enjoy any of them except for DAOC, until they ruined it with patches.
I feel like an MMO should mimic reality as much as possible without bringing in the lame parts of life... I shouldn't have to go to the grocery store, or ride a horse for 2 hours to get from point A to point B to pick up a pack of cigarettes for some random NPC.
I think if you do it well it can satisfy casual and hardcore gamers alike.
I agree with you. I think enemy's should have better AI as they're higher level not just bigger health and mana or whatever. So you don't fight the same monster just a little more powerful. Games should be for casual players too. I don't understand why I have to play 24/7 to be able to become epic. Also I think there should be ceirtain things you should do so you could go further so the story dosen't get skipped or whatever. Nice video.
games should not be for the casual players. what about the people who like playing games with complexisty that is why there are casual games and non casual. take one away and people will be pissed

No, you can just write on the back (or even front) of the box whether it's an easy or hard game.
People who read that it's hard, on the box, then get pissed that it's hard, are just plain stupid.
You don't have to please everyone, just those who can read a description on a box and decide if they like that or not.
