Here in Chicago,as of fall 2011, are Masting which means mass seeding. Our forest preserves will continue to grow Ash groves, but the dead ones like on this video, will become "Ghost trees" and stand for 5 or 10 more years.

Don't mind if thier cut down for a reason and the wood put to good use, but apart from that, leave them alone, we need them. They clean the air and help cool the planet. Notice how cooler it is under a big ol' tree. Welcome relief on a hot day.
