They should make another Extra Stage set in the future when Mako's accomplished being a successful professional racer and she and Iketani meet each other once more and finally get to be together. I think that is what will truly put closure to this.
The anti-climax of this stage was from another world, djeez. I really thought Iketani would reach his goal, waiting the whole stage for it and in the end nothing happened!!

I appreciate the work you put into subbing and uploading this movie, but you should try and look past the asshattery of the people insulting your subs and take away some constructive criticism from them.
They were good enough to give an understanding of what was going on, but constant basic spelling and grammar mistakes really do detract from the production.
@Muso992 thank you for your input but i dont really have the time to go back and fix every little mistake (ill try to fix some stuff when i have a little more time on my hands). I took a quick look at some of the videos and the biggest problem i saw was that i did not put apostrophes and commas, so i just wanna say if people are complaining about that it's absurd. I did however notice some big errors which i will address. If i ever sub something else i will take your advice :]

Someone takes their own time to provide a translation for all the Initial D fans and people complain about it when there are no problems with it? Get over yourself. The subs were great and provided an excellent translation for the OVA. Thank you for your hard work ( which you did as a favor for the fans and did NOT get paid to do ).
I think it's hilarious that people are complaining about your subtitles when most everyone who has commented likely doesn't even understand a lick of Japanese. You did a great job. I was able to understand the story quite well and I applaude your effort to put these clips up. Book 32-33 is the start of the stage 5 manga it come out evry 2 months on english but it stopped at book 33 6 months ago it is strange......but if u say it is at 35+ at japanese then we are close to the anime for sure.
Iketani did the RIGHT thing, the noble and selfless thing. He loved a person and he put her interests (developing her talent in Tokyo) first and his feelings and selfishness second. Initial D is a truly awsome show - not just mega cool, but mega clever as well!

OK, Initial D Extra Stage 3, Mako goes to see Iketani in Akina since she feels lonely at Tokyo. She finds out that Iketani is now a good driver. Then, we need a big conflict in the middle cause they need to confess love at the end. Since confessing love at a beginning of a story is not well. So, heres a story plot, Now, Shuichi Shigeno needs to fill this up!!

Fair enough that initial D puts race driving first, but when it comes to love, communication is essential. It just seems that avoiding telling someone that you care for them is immature, at some point we all need to be told that we are loved, and tell others that too. God tells us that He loves us every day, it's just that sometimes we aren't listening. ;-)
Initial D rocks, but it is important to remember that some lessons work for show, but other lessons may vary in real life.

Japanese is kinda easy to understand once you're really into animes, when you keep on hearing the same words and phrases over and over, you get used to it and you guess what they say by few words

Book 32-33 is the start of the stage 5 manga it come out evry 2 months on english but it stopped at book 33 6 months ago it is strange......but if u say it is at 35+ at japanese then we are close to the anime for sure.

Iketani did the RIGHT thing, the noble and selfless thing. He loved a person and he put her interests (developing her talent in Tokyo) first and his feelings and selfishness second. Initial D is a truly awsome show - not just mega cool, but mega clever as well!

OK, Initial D Extra Stage 3, Mako goes to see Iketani in Akina since she feels lonely at Tokyo. She finds out that Iketani is now a good driver. Then, we need a big conflict in the middle cause they need to confess love at the end. Since confessing love at a beginning of a story is not well. So, heres a story plot, Now, Shuichi Shigeno needs to fill this up!!

i was wishing maybe initial D would have a spin-off maybe a story of Iketani n Mako meeting again in Tokyo.. (Iketani has imporved so who knows he would be in a racing team n race against takumi?), i would love Iketani n Mako but quite a sad ending.. i am su possible Iketani would say "go ahead n accept the offer, but remember i love u, Mako!"
actually i would highly agree if Extra Stage was more towards Bunta's history !!

Fair enough that initial D puts race driving first, but when it comes to love, communication is essential. It just seems that avoiding telling someone that you care for them is immature, at some point we all need to be told that we are loved, and tell others that too. God tells us that He loves us every day, it's just that sometimes we aren't listening. ;-)
Initial D rocks, but it is important to remember that some lessons work for show, but other lessons may vary in real life.

ehh the ending sucks, i'm sure most of us wanted them to be together. I can't help but feel as if the creators wanted to axe Mako and Sayuki from the series, everything seemed a bit rushed and at the end "they were never to meet again" is almost like saying you won't be seeing them again.
