I did not buy my 3kw solar array because I had some misguided fantasy about saving the planet , I got them to be more self sufficient . They will never produce the power it took to make them , but nether will my TV set . The fact is that the power we use in Australia is the least amount of harm we will do to our environment . They ask skeptics "what wil it take to convince you of the reality of human induced climate change by CO2"? @MegaPostman77 You are exactly right. This whole going green movement has very little to do with saving the environment, it's all about eugenics and massively reducing the human population. Back in the 70's the global think tank the Club of Rome published a book titled "The First Global Revolution" and in there they talk about how they will blame global warming on humans and have people be the enemy of the planet.
The whole point of the 'Green Movement' is to send us back to the stone age, where we can all climb trees and sing songs around the camp fire. It's ironic, isn't it? As Christy correctly points out - 'ENERGY IS AN ENABLER'; without it life is brutal and short. If the 'Green's' want such a future, why don't they inflict it on themselves and let the rest of humanity progress without interference. Believe me, it will only be a matter of time before their principles get stamped on by reality.
What "they" want is an emissions trading scheme, a new market to buy and sell on. But unless Carbon has a real value (ie carbon credits to offset carbon tax) then no one would use it. So the first step is a tax so that the carbon has a direct dollar figure attached.
Good to hear yet another scientist affirming the uselessness of the Carbon Tax to alter climate. Pity though that the guy is a climate change denier, coz the climate on Earth - and in our entire solar system - is definitely changing due to factors acting on the planet from outside. This has happened many times in the past without SUVs - see some of Ian Plimer's stuff to learn more.
Are you listening to him, he said that climate is always changing but only at 1'c degree per century. Overall over the last 10 yrs earth has not warm at all despite the output of Co2 being > 25% since 2000. You climate ignorant people need to read some hard core facts rather than reading the summary from green groups.

Second - has links with several institutes and organisations that have been setup/funded by emissions-intensive companies
Third and last - 'he (John Christy) now acknowledges that global warming is real and the human contribution is significant'
