  • Fantastic!

  • great explanation...true master.

  • si lo que a algunos les preocupa del tai ji quan son las grandes demostraciones, me parece que equivocan el camino.

  • Master Yang is demonstrating some of the lower level skills that are definitely a vital part of Tai Chi Ch'uan. Why does everyone expect some mystical experience ALL the time? I think he is just being audience-centered; look at the audience! Tell you what, all you haters challenge him to a push hands contest, record it, and then post it on you tube. Until then, STFU! Have some more respect!

  • PitViper,

I have orders his DVD set and the applications i am experimenting with another master from Malaysia. The Malaysian master i am certain can kill a man with a palm strike. Peng Lu Ji and An are my training modules. Yet i know Master Yang Juns grandfather taught his teacher.

It is ridiculous to think Yang Chen Fu would teach other chinese master internal martial arts, but not give it to his family.

I suggest you leave your ego behind as it is blocking the entry into his wisdom.

  • Master Yang Jun is an amazing teacher with profound ability. If you actually want to learn from him, then spend some time with him and his skill will be easy to see. Don't expect him to bounce people around just to impress you, he doesn't need to do that, and It's not part of his tradition to show off. He is a very kind and incredibly skilled teacher that cannot be judged on such a superficial basis.

  • a shot dude push a taller one, of course he's gonna win coz the low gravity

  • I am most impressed with Master Yang's demonstration of the 8 energies. Great video!!!

  • Sifu hardly moves, notice his feet, he sinks very little and it is his waist which generates it. As I understand it this is a sign of it being mostly internal, something we don't see very often. Thank you.

  • I do not know Yang Jun but to challenge here him shows no class.

A Chinese martial artist would understand Chinese culture and civil and martial ethics. Let Yang Jun teach his school as he wants, respect others no matter what you think of them. Also to speak badly of someone publicly, just reflects badly on the speaker.

True martial artists respect other people and keep there opinions inside, and people that challenge are only trying to make a name or prove something, and embarrasses their Sifu.

  • It's really unfortunate that this has become a business. What happened to true martial arts? After attending a Master Yang Jun's Push Hand seminar i am embarrassed to say this is my lineage. Master Jun is more concerned with fancy circles and pulling and tugging. They way i was taught by my late Master was to focus on grounding and rooting. My search for true Tai Chi masters has come to an end. Unfortunately i have met 4 or 5 "So called" masters and none of them have it.

  • @pitviper328 I feel for you man! I only touched hands with him once, many years ago (not competitively mind you). While he seemed like a nice chap, I was not impressed with his peng jin, which is also evidently lacking in this video! And to the "Yang family congregation": Before you start talking about "respect" and "ethics" again, first post a video that proves us wrong, or at least an eye witness account of these masters' supposed great skill.

  • I recently met "Master" Yang Jun at a recent seminar that he held. What a fraud. His push hands is ridiculous and he wont interact with you unless you are a student of his. I approached him a few times and he wouldnt even look at me. I was not challenging him by any means. I was actually asked to leave the seminar. I am dissapointed to say the least to see the state of Yang Style Push Hands. He has no power what so ever nor does his students. What a business he has. Very dissapointing.

  • Would you "Yang Jun" be open to a challenge in the near future? I am happy to make the drive. From Michael Belliveau 16th gen HeYiTongBei Quan disciple of WuMaoGui.

  • dulawyer: Young master is explaining the prerequisites of basic push hands showing the zhou-hua (neutralizing) that requires zhan-nien-lien-sui. Yin & yang complements each other in any technique of PH and in the long form. If you say he is wrong, please prove it in writing. Tai Chi based on circular moves with the peng-jing that never ceased. Don't keep your silence dude. Spit it out. We are hearing you.

  • @zipdrive011 "Young master is explaining the prerequisites of basic push hands showing the zhou-hua (neutralizing) that requires zhan-nien-lien-sui. [...] If you say he is wrong, please prove it in writing." You're missing the point: Action speaks louder than words. Anyone can cite the classics, but that does not equal understanding or skill at all! "Prove it in writing"?? No! Prove it in practical demonstration of skill! We're waiting!!

  • tai chi and yoga are the most sophisticated sciences human civilisation has created.

  • dulawyer. His great great grandfather was Yang Lu Chan. The founder of Yang Tai Chi. Seeing as original tai chi was kept a closely guarded secret in imperial china and only kept in the family (except watered down versions given to the public). Your comment is a bit like saying gravity goes up.

You should show some respect. What goes around comes around.

  • @Anglostani

    Well said..

  • @Anglostani Yang Zhen Duo was 4 years old when his father died, so of course he HAS to have the REAL secret inner teachings that noone else knows LOL! If he's the best, why isn't there a single video of YZD or YJ doing anything even remotely impressive on the whole of youtube? Please prove me wrong post a link to a video where either one of them really kicks ass -nothing would make me happier! But until then: Skills speak louder than words -or family name for that matter.

  • Very good teaching. He seems quite humble man. Is Master Jun having any plans to come to UK?

  • He does not real understand the Yin and Yang.He is wrong.

  • dulawyer. Why do you say he is wrong?

  • Oh dang. I can only put five stars for this one :(

  • Awesome video! I am Carl's student here at the Louisville club. I hope to make it out there to play with y'all in Seattle one day!

  • Awesome video, thanks!

  • Excellent explanation and demonstration.

His taiji and teaching skills are good!

He has acquired a good command of english to transmit his knowledge to westerners, his students are very fortunate.

    Humble and intelligent!

There are some great Taiji masters and some good teachers in the world today, few have both qualities.

Yang Jun appears to be one of the few that has both!

  • A true master! Thanks for sharing.

  • I agree...

  • Outstanding skills! Master Yang Jun is the best!!!
