  • the area you need to be most concerned with is about the size of the area of this video, which measures the spread, that's it

  • I can trade all day, with just one monitor.

  • u have all that equipment and have a video that looks like it was recorded from a cell phone from 1990 that was taken out of a toilet..

  • @BxSQUIRREL how funny you are NOT

  • u just want show off?? stupid

  • i bet you have 15 indicators also..

  • I really see no reason to have more than one screen, what you really need is a fast connection if you are a scalper

  • @edsondefreitas1

then your not a successful day trader.

  • thats a real trader! wow :)

  • So... How much have you lost so far? :P

  • Gafnn . com Trader Social Network,Check it out and receive a free e-book and daily technical analysis.

  • 4 monitors is reasonable. 3 is good. all depends on how you use them.

  • Hey moby what size screens are using with your monitors any recommendations, cheers.

  • pipboost.com give it a try!

  • Anybody who sits and looks at multiple monitors all day is just maximizing their confusion about the bigger picture

  • ok i just don;t get it..y do u need more than 2 monitors to monitor the market...i only use 2 and it suits fine with me........

  • I love how you have all those monitors but the your camera is from 1970 LOL

  • check us out Mr Top Step com Im flow fight from the pit

  • Trade is a religion, pseudoscience and the financial pyramid, the fiscal authority, a casino.

  • I use my lawn mower for most good stock ideas

  • I only use 3 screens haha

    Nice.

  • Don't really need more than around four screens. If you are looking for a trade, then you are looking to lose money. I setup my trades and backup trades in advance. 1 screen for spreadsheets, 1 screen for order entry, and 2 screens for price monitoring. The rest in just distraction and chaos.

  • i have a question ???

how many times did you shit in your pants while you are trading loool

  • To: GARMIN2009. Good news. You had asked a member on this board if they had felt any apprehension while he was in his trades. The whole premise of being a trader is: that one must expect to take the hits according to his own window/stop loss. One cannot expect to win every trade, but, to do the sensible thing, is to adhere to his accepted loss. Prayer is good, but not during market hours; for He is more oblivious to your trades than the market is. Good day.

  • have to agree, it's that whole, if I buy 20 screens, I'll feel like a trader ...

the real traders are never heard from ...

    :)

  • algo trading is the way to go

  • i watch this video and I laugh, because there is 1 fact 90% of traders lose money. if he was profitable he'd have better things to show off, like his P/L statement

  • @ChesterDoraemon 90% of traders lose money because trading doesn't "require" any training or diploma or anything else. Anyone can try it. If everyone could be called a doctor tomorrow and perform surgery just because they wanted to, 90% of them would fail too. It's a bit of a disingenuous stat.

Some of the "too many monitors" comments are amusing. If you watch lots of charts, you need lots of space. Simple as that. Some people watch one chart; others watch 50. Both ways can work.

  • @WesSeid more money in the market, more stocks, more monitors.

  • @kjeezy101. More monitors in the near to be recycling market - More stock in waste management - More money needed to buy more newer ones!

  • omg! this is cool!

  • What a load of nonsense.

Its all surface and no substance. Must be very distracting.

  • @tywilliams100

HOW DO YOU KNOW ITS A DISTRACTION? HOW DO YOU KNOW HE DOESNT NEED TO TRADE LIKE THAT? i HAVE SIMILAR SET UP. sTOP PASSING JUDGEMENT ON OTHER PEOPLE. THIS TELLS ME A LOT ABOUT YOUR TRADING SUCCESS AND STATE OF PSYCHOLOGY.

  • @Raybanmonster i TYPE in ALL CAPS BECAUSE i HAVE iMPORTANT THINGS TO SAY. i EVEN PUT "i" iN LOWER CASE FOR EXTRA iMPACT.

  • Can you give us a run down on what is on what screen, or what software combination you use? thanks!

  • i trade and never loss

  • @rbonilla18

    Your spelling is a loss.

  • @spyder357 lose xD

  • yeah i never "loss" either : )

  • Then u never trade

  • 13 seconds of bullshit

  • Interesting... we personally trade MACD and Bollinger Bands only - 100 minute bars. Been killing the markets lately.

  • nice setup

  • awesome setup

  • Great info, check my account for stock information and also great tips!

  • why you need a lot of monitors?

  • gives them control, when in actually they have NONE.

  • it's ok but to qualify as a Command-Centre you require vertical mounts

  • I do think the setups are cool to show off. However, no matter how many monitors you get, you still only have two eyes.

  • The only reason I have multiple monitors is to run my trades on one and porn on the other 4.

  • Comment removed

  • @mathiastheok thats a really good reason though.

  • @mathiastheok haha i have 8 screens. 7 for porn

  • To: jamesgambino. Yes, I believe you; but, what it the other one for? The other fantasy - making money?

  • @eddyvideostar Dont hate jerkoff...I can buy you 600 times over.

  • To: JamesGambino. You had refered to ME as a jerk off, when you have announced that YOU have 7 monitors just for porn! But still, I certainly don't hate you, James; mmmm - especially with a proposition as such, how can I resist. With this, who needs the market? Bye Bye. See ya.

  • @eddyvideostar Wow you are really retarded and you dont remember insulting people huh. U said the 8 th monitor was for makng fake money so YES i called YOU a jerkoff. How much did you make today with your 4 screens. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER

  • To: JamesGambino. Read carefully, young man: I never insulted you, I just said, "I believe you," when YOU had stated that you use 7 monitors for porn, then YOU called me a jerk off and retarded, then you accuse me of insulting people. (I presume just you) All that I did was just to pose a question - not a statement, about if you use the other monitor to fantasize about "making fake money" as you had put it. Never did I insult you; in fact, it is the other way around. Good day.

  • To: Mathiastheok. I thought that you had eight monitors and just used one for your trades and the other seven for your fantasies.

  • @mathiastheok lol

  • @mathiastheok must have a lot of lag and viruses.

  • @mathiastheok

    LOOK at this site:

    lkj-h.beep.com/index.htm(removeme)

    maybe information can help you

    best regards

  • People who are commenting here do not have any clue about trading...retail traders

  • And yet we are the ones who retired this year. Keep talking, snoopy.

  • running on Apple... mac pro...

uh, ya... if you're running Apple hardware I don't see a trading genius coming from having 4 monitors. You already made a bad financial decision before you started, paying a lot more then you had to.

Also, if you're doing stocks you could of made/bought a system that supports 4 monitors for around $650 USD.

  • hmm,, trading with thinkorswim. so, uh.. how much did you make today?

  • I laugh at all these "TRADER" setups. These morons couldnt make money even if they tried. A setup with graphs and monitors doesnt make you a good trader. All you need is a laptop. Its a psychological game, nothing more.

  • Hmm I suppose you make millions with your 1 little laptop to, RIGHT ? LOL

  • not if you are trading in several different markets.

  • Professional traders trade more then one stock at a time, so you need to watch more then 1 stock at the same time...thus multiple monitors are needed.

  • ha, nice setup you got me beat. I just have 3 screens, but my ideal is 7 *sigh* someday

  • she is so hot!!! wow!! p

  • I need a man 2 treat me like a queen W

  • seriously, do you have an eyeball in each ear? what's the point?

  • thanks for wasting my precious six seconds. That was the worst shit I've ever seen in my life. Trying to show off some screens. Pretty cool douchebag.

  • Glad I don't need all that shit to trade. I use my laptop. You seriously need to simplify your system, guy.

  • When your trading multiple sectors and stocks, you need multiple monitors to view them all...your accusation is not founded on any facts.

  • I used to do stocks, too much work. I prefer simplicity. Much easier to fix broken systems that way. And more profitable.

I would not change places with a guy who needs a roomful of monitors for anything int he world... being trapped in a fucking room to make any money. Fuck that shit.

I will continue on my laptop.

Did you super-traders ever consider that laptop traders have it all simplified down because we are simply smarter and better traders than you? Nah, you're too proud... LOL

  • LOL SuperTraders...power on...sounds like a super hero....could us few traders change the world? Ineed! lol I hear what your saying about being trapped in a room...let's get this money then get outm and live life!... I wish you the best

  • nice setup, all I've got is an IBM think pad and my charts.

  • I don't even have a credit card yet XD

btw, anyone know some good courses to take in college for day trading?

  • college and trading...you're better off teaching yourself or taking an online course or reading books.

  • you don't learn any of this in college electives?

  • nope. just how to calculate bonds and interest rates on different financial instruments. nothing about trading at all. they teach you that when you get a trading job, or you can teach yourself (seminars, books, etc)

  • i tried the fxcm powercourse. its only 20 bucks. even thought there's alot of info out there for free, this course is step by step for beginners. and it has tutorials and webseminars and email support too. the instructors will comment on your tutorial. not bad for a start. but do some reading before u sign up the course becos doing some homework helps also.

  • I do agree with the rest here but if you are already in college, taking a financial management course would help. College will not teach you how to trade but will familiarize you with the market a bit more. As for training tips there are a lot of stuff on the internet for free, just read up and learn.
