How could you forget the part in Hell on Earth where he says "There is no good. There is no evil. There is only flesh." AND the scene in Bloodline where he talks about torturing the child for 1000 years and tops it off by saying: "Do I look like someone who cares what God thinks!?"
i hated the new ones, his voice is all digital! you can really tell the difference between them! Because the original first few were made for VHS, the analogue sound made his voice sound like it had loads more bass and power behind it! Now its like he is puny and little. His voice doesn't do anything for me :-( which is a shame..... Horror isn't quite the same on DVD to perfect and clear

Well, it depends on the version of the story. In first two movies and the original novel, he (she in the book) are merely "demons" (best term for it) merely take people who open the box to another dimension where the senses are so strong that pleasure and pain are one in the same. The people that go to this dimension experience pleasures and torments that are beyond human comprehension. That's why they kinda look like S&M suits. Kinda the same idea.

@santillanstudio I just watched all 8 Hellraisers. No, completely avoid Hellworld. It's terrible, and adds nothing to the overall mythology. Not a single enjoyable moment in the movie.
And I'll throw in what I think is the best quote. A crime this video missed it. Hellraiser 3, they're surrounding the main girl and toying with her. Pinhead says, "Decades down through your suffering, this will seem like a memory of Heaven." That's so hardcore.

@sdavis197 I have to agree even if they do have Clive Barker himself re-directing the remake/reboot(I remember him being slated to helm the project awhile back not sure if that changed) it just wont be the same as Doug was Pinhead, he is that character and no one will ever be identified with that charecter like he is just like Robert Englund will always be Freddy, Gunner Hanson will always be Leatherface, Bruce Campbell will always be Ash, Angus Scrim will always be the Tall Man, ect.
Pinheads facial pin effects look WAAAAAAAAY better in the first two as opposed to the sequels. The wounds are deeper, whearas the sequals look like they were drawn on in magic marker.
Excuse me for being a noob, but, was there ever any particular reason why The Cenobites only ever had about 5 minutes screen time in the 93 minute film, Hellraiser, but are still concidered the film's key antagonists?

In the second movie the main villain was Dr. Channard, they only seemed the "villains" because they were the collectors for hell, to bring pleasure and pain to those who opened the box., thats why you could actually make deals with the Cenobites.

I personally think Deader is one of the best sequels. It deserves more recognition. Pinhead had way more screentime than 5 and 6, and he sort of acted as a hero towards the end, which was reminiscent of Hellbound.
I love the hellraiser sense of humour, so dark but effective XD

If I encountered any slasher, I'd want it to be Pinhead because he can be reasoned with. Unless, of course, he's been seperated from Elliot Spencer.

There was one moment, if I remember correctly in the 7 th movie. When He appears for some seconds and say "Don't think for a moment that you are not in danger!" This was the first time I heard his voice and i was lie: LOOOL! EPIC!

Well, it depends on the version of the story. In first two movies and the original novel, he (she in the book) are merely "demons" (best term for it) merely take people who open the box to another dimension where the senses are so strong that pleasure and pain are one in the same. The people that go to this dimension experience pleasures and torments that are beyond human comprehension. That's why they kinda look like S&M suits. Kinda the same idea.

@santillanstudio I just watched all 8 Hellraisers. No, completely avoid Hellworld. It's terrible, and adds nothing to the overall mythology. Not a single enjoyable moment in the movie.
And I'll throw in what I think is the best quote. A crime this video missed it. Hellraiser 3, they're surrounding the main girl and toying with her. Pinhead says, "Decades down through your suffering, this will seem like a memory of Heaven." That's so hardcore.

@sdavis197 I have to agree even if they do have Clive Barker himself re-directing the remake/reboot(I remember him being slated to helm the project awhile back not sure if that changed) it just wont be the same as Doug was Pinhead, he is that character and no one will ever be identified with that charecter like he is just like Robert Englund will always be Freddy, Gunner Hanson will always be Leatherface, Bruce Campbell will always be Ash, Angus Scrim will always be the Tall Man, ect.

Pinheads facial pin effects look WAAAAAAAAY better in the first two as opposed to the sequels. The wounds are deeper, whearas the sequals look like they were drawn on in magic marker.

Excuse me for being a noob, but, was there ever any particular reason why The Cenobites only ever had about 5 minutes screen time in the 93 minute film, Hellraiser, but are still concidered the film's key antagonists?
I was just wondering why they'd show so little of them in the film... :/

@JAMES2K2COLD well....tech they were not the main antagonists, it was more uncle Frank and ...Julie i think her name was. In the second movie the main villain was Dr. Channard, they only seemed the "villains" because they were the collectors for hell, to bring pleasure and pain to those who opened the box., thats why you could actually make deals with the Cenobites.

I personally think Deader is one of the best sequels. It deserves more recognition. Pinhead had way more screentime than 5 and 6, and he sort of acted as a hero towards the end, which was reminiscent of Hellbound.

@TheAlienFan , unfortunately, its not doug bradley as pinhead in the remake, they even completely redesign pinhead (just google pinhead redesign) personally, i prefer the old one, the new one deosnt look as precise or have the same sinister indifference as the original, and i doubt anyone could play pinhead as well as doug bradley
