If you don't take her out of context, like most people are, she's not dodging anything, she says very clearly that they've found hundreds of brown dwarfs, but nothing closer than the nearest known star system. She also said that they have no reason to believe there is any hazardous body in orbit, if there was another object in our orbit it would be a large body with a relatively circular orbit (ie. non-hazardous). Twisting her words isn't adding any weight to the idea, plus she's hot and smart.

So, is a dwarf star coming to get us?

Probably the truth lies somwhere in her statement "roughly circular orbit."

This means elliptical. The likelyhood of it making a direct impact is low simply becauseearth has been around for 4 billion years.

Her concern probably relates to perigee and gravitational effects.
