  • the tails do make it look even more appealing. and personally, i eat the shells-they are digestible.

    but, when you're cooking it, it's not that big of a deal to take them off.

  • Take the tails off. I've seen so many choking accidents. People just want to put a forkful in their mouth, not worry about biting off the end, which in turn will likely fall back onto the plate.

  • Exactly. There's nothing worse than getting jammed in the roof of your mouth by a tail. It's not that big of a deal to take off the tails.

  • @KrystalBall11 the tail keeps all the flavour... Here, in Italy we don't even take off the head, because it gives an incredible taste to the dish!

  • @prettyinpunk666 I agree. I also don't like when people leave the shells on clams when they mix it into the pasta. Who cares if it looks better? I don't wanna get my hands covered in sauce trying to get the clams out of the shell. :[
