  • Just to clarify for some of you. This exercise is good for girls AND boys. If you're ot strong enough to do REGULAR pushups, then this exercise is the next best thing. This exercise will work on your pectoral majors, but MOSTLY triceps, and a bit on deltoids too (shoulders) This video is incorrect to assume that it only works on your chest, because the vast majority actually goes into the triceps. Tips for beginners: dont let your back sag, keep it rigid. Do it slowly and controlled, dont rush.

  • it figures that I'm reading some of the comments on here limiting this form of push up to one group ("these are girl/women push ups"). WHY? Have any of you "studs" out there had a bad back before and you're TOLD to do them this way by a Dr. ? That's what I was told. The standard way was killing my back! At least I'm still getting a workout, so it's better than nothing. I have two alternatives do them this way or risk injury and go to the Dr. before my next scheduled appointment.

    Just to let you know the breathing is wrong

    don't you exhale when the muscles contract and vice versa?

    therefore he should exhale when going down and inhale when going up

    not only have you done that in your other videos (like the abs module lvl 1 ) but it's also a good idea so people won't inhale dust on the ground/foor

  • @finnsia You're right, but the chest muscles contract when going UP, so that's the exhalation period. You should consider getting an exercise mat or try SWEEPING your floor once in a while... :)

  • @JohnHDftw well thats stupid. Form and posture are alot more important than how fast you do them..

    if anything you're just setting yourself up for injury.

  • @Nessaik ...actually there is very little resistance to the triceps because you are on your knees.. so the tri's are not really being impacted as much as regular push ups. Your pecs are taking the most of it.
