  • just checked out the borneo clouded leopard mentioned here... it's nice!!! the prints is like a snake print!!

  • I cannot find a single updated petition on not a single member website of the International Tiger Coalition about the upcoming CITES meeting regarding the banning of Tiger Farms in Asia.

Please, post a link to a petition.

  • Jungle, fisher, and lepord cats kick all other felines asses!

  • I Have sent many of the vids from bigcatrescue to my friends they are animal lovers to

And they are helping me by sending these vids to there friends who send them to there friends and so on. We want the world to care for animals and try to help them not hunt them and think of them as coats!

  • Thanks for doing that, the more people we can educate the better :)

  • Your very welcome

  • Beautiful;,beautiful cats.Thankyou.

  • serval!! hehe there so cute!

haha omg camerons so goofy!! hes like "mmm zabu u smell gooooddd!!"

  • Aww, Male Lions are soo Cuute. I would like to feed and pat them. Lions are sooo Coool. :)

  • Not sure about petting them!

  • how about the other big cat,, the cheetah. Its like the only cat mssingin these videos.

  • Hi, well spotted we don't actually have any cheetahs at the sanctuary, this is a good thing, they are harder to buy because they are rare and not many people own them privately.

  • Have you all ever had Cheetahs before?

  • No, we've never had cheetahs before, this is a good thing, they are very hard to purchase buy individuals, this makes us happy :)

  • Why is it a good thing you dont have cheetahs?.... i find them to be the most fascinating. And why are they hard to purchase because out of all the big cats, they are the most vulnerable and easiest to tame.

  • It would be a great thing if we didn't have any big cats under our care and all the problems they faced with private ownership were gone. I too find them fascinating, but I'm very glad they are not as common as backyard tigers/lions at the same time.

  • They're the most expensive and rare cat to own, People who own them privatly don't want to sell them..Because they're rare as hell to own.

  • 1.40?What is that beauty called? Well;for me;all cats rule;they are amazing;loved the bit about the borneo spotted leopard????..Stacy118;they tell you in one of their other videos why they neuter the cats;it would be very irresponsible of them if they didn't.They are called bigcatrescue for a reason.Faved this one..

  • That's Canyon one of our sandcats!

  • You guys are doing an awesome job & making a really big difference. Keep up the great work.

  • Sorry my English isn't very good and i can't really hear what you said about the leopard. In the video, you mentioned:"Tiger acts as a spokeperson for the other 40 species of cats and it isn't because they are the *what* cat. Most experts feel that title would go to the leopard."

I can't hear that word which i wrote as *what*, so what is that word that you are saying in the video?

  • Shuaige12, I think the word you are referring to is *smartest*. If that isn't the one you are asking about, let me know and I will listen to the video again.

  • Oh, that is the word i was trying to find out because it wasn't really clear in the video. Anyway, i have the IQ chart of big cats and Tigers seems to score extremely well in terms of EQ, and leopards are just about average. I could send it your way if you are interested

Also i would like to agree that it is true that Tigers are very popular, they are voted as "World's favorite animal"(a poll from animal planet) in dec 2002, beating the dog(2nd), dolphin(3rd), and horse(4th).

  • Shuaige12, yes please send it and quote the source to where you found it. Does it say what the results were based on? I'd love to see it. Also thanks for sharing the Animal planet poll info. I enjoy fun trivia facts.

  • All right, i sent the you through pm because it includes weblinks which cannot be posted in comments. Check your pm inbox, thanks.

  • Shuaige12, THANK YOU! I am on the way out the door right now and will check the in box as soon as I return this afternoon. I look forward to seeing it. THANK YOU AGAIN!

  • No problem, infact, as a cat lover i should thank you instead, thank your organisation for saving the dozens of Big Cats each year. Thanks for uploading all these enducational videos online.

  • Shuaige12, we love what we do, but wish there was not a need for what we do. It is wonderful people like you who make what we do possible.

  • i have a question, where is this place, i wish i can be there

  • Jebusi, Big Cat Rescue is located in Tampa, Florida. Would you like me to send you a message with a direct link to the website?

  • i found the wab page, thanks anyways, man i wish i could live there, i will really love to be a volunter

  • Jebusi, I am glad you found our website. Big Cat Rescue is an awesome place to volunteer at. If you live too far away & would still like to volunteer in helping us care for the cats there are somethings you can do from afar to help out. We need people to help promote the videos to help get the message out to more people. You can watch, rate, comment on the videos, favor them & add them to groups around YouTube. Get others to link to our main website, send out eCards & links to our website.

  • i will, and the first thjing is that im goin to put this video in my favorites

  • Jebusi, THANK YOU for adding it to your favorites!! We sincerely appreciate that as it greatly helps promote the messages of the videos.

  • Please can you send me a direct link to the website too?And

for the bigcatchat if possible? Thanx.

  • SEVERALS!!! CARACALS!! THEIR SOOO CUTE!!! they dont look anything like my cats...but they are STILL VERY VERY VERY CUTE!!!

  • I respect this like I respect Dogs Deserve Better's Tammy Grimes. Amazing work. In the mean time, I will stick to rescuing my little stray cats. lol

  • Teresaveg, I am glad you do what you do! Through what you do the lives of many cats are made better and more people become.

  • the lion in the first part lokes like he needs a comb! lol!

  • There are no tigers in Africa...

  • I saw a sand cat!

  • wow, great

  • This is a wonderful video - very informative. Keep up the good work. I've added you to my favorites and will try and donate when I can.

  • hahahaha you are such an asshole haha

  • rr1sportrider:

You want to kill innocent animals? Endangered ones at that?

    Weak.

  • This is so beautiful!

  • Where are you guys located? Are there any spots like this in new jersey? I would love to be able to work at a place like this full time. I hate the rat race....To all you guys down there helping them out, God Bless and keep your eyes on them. You guys seem to understand mans responsibility to these gorgeous creatures...all of them. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If everyone able to do things like this...did, we would all be in a much better world....I want a job with you guys.

  • THANK YOU very much for your comment. I don't know of one around the New Jersey area. There are a lot of places that call themselves sanctuaries that really are not. Have you visited our website?

  • Yes I check it out when I can.

  • I would like to donate :). I believe these beautiful animals deserve a great home like you guys are providing, no animal deserves to be closed up in a small zoo or circus for other peoples amusement.

  • We can sure make very good and responsible use of your donation. If you visit our website you can find out about donating. OR, if you want to send me a message I can give you several different links. This message box won't post website links.

  • nice videos wish they had a place with lions and tigers-big cats near me to work with

    they are awesome

  • I was so happy to donate to BigCatRescue until I found out you all neuter your animals so they can't reproduce. How do you call this a conservation if you don't let the natural process of reproduction happen? It seems like an opportunity to make money from the public.

  • Ask any expert and the best conservation of big cats is to preserve their habitat. We do not breed as all our cats are captive born from uncertain origins and will live and die in a cage. To make more cats to do that does not help the wild populations. Simple as that. We take in unwanted cats from all over the U.S. And by getting donations, we not only make their life better, but it allows us to contribute to several conservation efforts out there. Check out our main site for more info.

  • I never said breed them like crazy for profit. But why neuter all of them?

  • We get asked that a lot. One cub born would use up room for the hundreds of animals we turn away every year. We answer this question in a few of our videos. Try -why we spay, black leopard nuetered, or updates to find a longer answer as to why.

  • Accredited sanctuaries do not breed animals. That is just one of teh criteria they ahve to meet in order to become accredited. You can check out The Association of Sanctuaries website for more criteria sanctuaries have to meet.

  • CONTEST: Find the Link to the Association of Sanctuaries on Big Cat Rescue's website. The 1st person who reads this, goes to Big Cat Rescue's website, finds the link for the Association of Sanctuaries, & sends me a message with 3 things: 1. Big Cat Rescue's website page link to the page they found it on 2. a link to The Association of Sanctuaries 3. Write me a 3-4 line summary of what the Association Of Santuaries is I will mail you a glossy photo postcard of one of the cats at Big Cat Rescue.

  • The only sanctioned breeding prgrams are through SSPs (species survival programs) and they are carried out by accredited zoos. Since the animals BCR gets cannot be used in these programs the most responsible thing they can do for the animals is to spay and neuter.

  • The zoo I work at actually has an exhibit in the main education lobby talking about white tigers and how they are created. We at the zoo here really truly care about our animals. Not all zoos are in it for just the cash.

  • There are now several zoos that are informing the public about white tigers. This is a huge step in educating the public.

  • In the wild they live far from each other. Lions-Africa. Tigers-Asia.

In our situation these lions and tigers grew up together.

  • I wish they would stop breeding white tigers I don't think many people know how a white tiger becomes white. Most white tigers are now bred in captivity, often by inbreeding parents and cubs to ensure the presence of the recessive gene. Such inbreeding often also leads to birth defects. It's quite sad v_v

  • Here comes the moon again!!!!

  • Oh, so great video!

  • I have seen Caracals and Servals on TV before. They look quite cute. By the way, do you think you can make a video about Ligers? If you are, can you tell me please?!

  • My comments keep getting removed, :S

why is this? I never flame and I am pretty much always postitive ... :(

  • These are truly beautiful creatures....it makse me angry the way mankind has treated these creatures, killing them for sport or fur or teeth etc. Your work is admirable, thank you for helping to preserve these wonderful animals.......

  • Yay for Servals, my fav big cat! I hate how zoo's will breed the white tigers to bring in people, yet I always wonder how much the extra money helps them. Zoos are always in need of money, no? So, although I dont like them breeding for money, sometimes I wonder if you can really blame them. Maybe the extra money it brings in helps the other 'normal' animals. But I dont really know how much money Zoos bring in and how much they are under (or over, I guess its a possibility) budget they are.

  • The tiger SSP which is in charge of Tiger breeding for AZA zoos has asked them to stop breeding white tigers. The way to get whites, and their health problems makes it an ethical issue. In educating the public you must lead by example and make the right choice over ways you think you can make quick money.

  • Lol. Brian: "this sucks" xD

once again, a wonderful video by big cat rescue! :D

  • in African game parks, where lions are protected and doing well, cheetahs don't do so well because lions prey upon their cubs and compete for game. great video! i love the small cats, too...

  • another great 5 star vid frm BCR

  • Oh they are all so beautiful. You do a great job.Long may these big cats live in peace!

  • "This sucks..." lol

Hey, I got a question. Are white tigers actual species or are they albino tigers?

  • Great question. White Tigers are not a seperate species of tiger. for more on white tigers check out our video -white tigers facts vs fiction.

    Thanks

  • Cool
