  • the problem with these kind of bands with an exceptional sound - all songs sound very similar.

  • @bille77 I highly disagree with you. Have you ever listened to a whole album by Sigur Ros? The only similar sounding song to this song I could think of is maybe the track "Festival" off their last album.Try listening to a whole album by Sigur Ros. Each song is crafted incredibly uniquely and ever album they have produced generally has a very different sound and feel.

  • this song is what complete bliss sounds like

  • it comes from the Infinity.

  • If i were a member of Sigur Ros i would burst into tears during every song. I don't know how Jonsi does it... he must have absolutely no soul.

  • SACRED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • which album is this song on?

  • @dancerr625 Unfortunatetly none, it has been played several times live tho. People still mix this song with ''Festival**, but its not the same song. As far as I can see, only two version of this song is on the web. This one and one live from Tokyo.

  • @nisli2k thanks for the info. this is really beautiful, one of my favorites.

  • @dancerr625 You might aswell check out ''Hannes'' from their Hlemmur Album, its the same melody... I think :p at least its very similar

  • I get goosebumps every time I listen to this song.

  • so beautiful

I wish on my funeral, ppl will play this

  • @JuicyZoo They will

  • I was in that tank!! :-D

That place is magical, an abandoned factory in the middle of nowhere. And the music of SR is just the perfect landscape for such a wonder.

  • i want to dream these sounds while i sleep.

  • i want to dream these sounds while i sleep.

  • i want to dream these sounds while i sleep.

  • Been my favorite band for years, & will never stop. I want to see them so bad. But they never come near. :(

  • this is such a wonderful film... they exemplify the honesty and integrity of a true musician- performing around iceland giving back to the people and the land

  • gorgeous... i adore their use of lighting with their sounds... such honest and pure performances... what blows me away is that everyone from children to grannies attend their performances :] wonderful

  • 3 people don't have a soul...

  • @beethoven941 or perhaps out of the 60,000 people watching it, 3 of them accidentally hit the dislike button.

Beautiful music, surely no one out there could truly dislike it.

  • never meant to be

  • this....................

  • 3 people are looking for "Gitardjamm" in their english dictionaries at this moment.

  • 3 people are looking for "Gitardjamm" in their english dictionaries at this moment.

  • for me, this is one of the 3 best songs from heima

  • To think inside all of us is beauty like this, yet there is war, famine, hate...imagine if we all focused on walking in beauty instead. <3

  • Magical, simply put.

  • blows my mind every time.

  • Now i know why God Loves me!! He let me discover this Band!!!

  • I have no word that can decribe the beauty of this song...I'm speechless...

  • Beautiful..and somehow this song reminds me of Neil Youngs Phillidelphia

  • Very quality HD video, cool

  • Cool!

    Looked at one go!

  • I so love Sigur Ros! And I adore this song in this setting! The town this old herring factory is in is beautiful, too.

  • I belive sigur ros redefines the way "common" instruments are regularely played.

Now i'm thinking: really? can you do such beautiful things with just a guitar, viola, cello and a couple of violins?

  • Wonderful song.

  • well said

  • This is the kind of music to be listened to with a love one... in order to touch the deepest human emotions. Absolutely awesome & intense...

  • great song

  • i've been there - was amazing!

go to iceland and visit djupavik!

  • Same, I went there about 3 weeks ago. I took a picture looking inside one of these structures :) It's such an amazing little town.

  • This reminds me of As She Walked Through The Fair...same blissful, but sad feeling. Makes tears everywhere...*sniff*

  • lo mejor...

  • I ave to totally agree with KEVMULDER. The ultimate and greatest Sigur Ros song is Untitled 8, but this is best song in terms of beauty, presentation and sound from the Hiema DVD. How they ave never released this, or put it on an album is beyond belief.

    Simply stunning.......

  • How the hell is this unreleased

  • que vuelvan a españa ya!!!

  • ke te pasa ellos volveran cuando kieran no cuando tu digas!

    tss

    pos este!

  • es muy relajante y placentero escuchar a sigur ros....

  • Magnificent,so sad and in the meantime so beautiful and moving......

  • Er þetta ekki inní einhverjum lýsistanksskratta?

  • Hey, if you guys want a really good version of Gitardjamm, you should check out Gitardjamm at the Tokyo 2003 concert. I might say that that one is even better than the one on Heima (although both versions are incredible).

  • While Untitled #8 is my favorite song of all time, I think this song, with how it was presented, is the definite best of the movie.

  • i love you and agree fully

  • thnk u sigur ros! just only for the times i passed with your music! u really talk to the heart!

  • what's the album that this song is on?

  • Just the Heima DVD.

  • that sucks...i LOVE this song

  • the dvd is really worth it =)

  • If this doesn't touch your soul... you need to find one.

  • @theliberating1

I don't have a soul, but if I did, I'm sure it would be feeling violated right now because this song got all up in dem guts...

By the way, where can one go about finding these 'souls' you speak of?

  • @theliberating1 If this doesn't touch your soul, you didn't deserve to have one in the first place.

  • @theliberating1 what if im a ginger? though it is a song beyond words

  • every single second of this music and vid hurts me , so deep in my soul..

    no word...

  • Yeah I completely agree with you

  • This is what music is all about. This is more than music, it is truly special.

  • sigur ros are great eh?

  • id love to know what they re saying

  • There is no lyrics..it's just something they've made up :)

  • um, yes there are lyrics, and many songs have been translated

  • I know, but this is "hope icelandic" -or something like that. It isn't a real language if you know what I mean. So she cant know what they're singing about because they have just made these "words" up. I know this because I'm icelandic, and if they're icelandic I know what they are singing about.

  • awesome

  • what's the made up language thing called again? it's like.... hopelandic or something or other

  • yep, it's hopelandic

  • they play this song in mexico, after Orri got sick and left. it was so so so hevy almost everyone was crying

  • this just CANT be live

  • i think it must be, if you listen you can here the really unusual acoustics that the shed creates. it sounds amazing though doesn't it!

  • It is live... i also agree that the acoustics of that place add a haunting echo to the song that makes it sound so mournful

  • I cant believe how good they are.

  • Guitar jam is such a good song.

  • just awsome and beautiful

  • best part about this video are the accoustics in that fish factory they are in. Normally an echo can suck but for a song like this, with his voice, it gives it a crazy ethereal feel... I've heard another version of this played at a normal venue and it wasnt quite as haunting.

  • I saw Heima in Vilnius spring fillm festival, beautifull film, beautifull country, great band, great song!!!

  • this is so beautiful, i nearly can't stand it...

  • I love this song!!

  • What cd is this song from?

  • gítardjamm is an unreleased song and isn´t on any cd!

I totally agree, this song is amaaaazing!

  • only on heima

  • I have fallen in love with this song,I have Heima but is this track available on a cd???.

  • They have a clip, roughly 2 min, available for free on their website.

  • thank you for the advice I will visit the site to check the track out! ;-)

  • aijoooooooooooooooooo
