In ancient times, Armenian! KingArteses had a beautiful daughter called Tamar. KingArtases began worrying that she would be kidnapped before deciding to whom his daughter would marry. Because of this fear he built a palace located on an island middle of Lake Van. Tamar loved a poor man but the cold water of Lake Van came between them. He managed to swim twords the light every night to see her. One night The King found out and got very angry. The light disappeard and he drowned saying "Ah Tamar"
