  • Nothing like a old a model!!!!!!!

  • Over the last couple of days I've actually had the pleasure of driving one of only 12 of these trucks imported into Australia... It is a 1969 W900A Seattle Extended hood with a factory fitted 400 cummins with no jakes... It still works most days and is the pride and joy of its owner... I was very privileged that he allowed me to drive it... Its great to see these photo's !!

  • reminds me of the days when trucks were good.. these little silent diesels don't work for me

  • I paused ithe vid1:38-1:41 was definatly my old truck it was a 73 ext w/ 1674/5x4 we bought it from a friend of ours. She had it it was a transfer. My dad & I stretched it and put the big sleeper on it ( was from a freightliner) we put a 450 cummins in it . I hauled cattle and lumber all over Calif until I sold it in 91

  • I'm pretty sure the white Kw @1:37 is my old truck

  • @dgarr64 I took that picture back in the late 1990's at the Little Sister's Truck wash in Barstow, California..It was a cool ride ..

  • Man I have watched this video at least 20 times over a years time

  • who sings this song?

  • Long live the big hoods.

  • old trucks very good

  • I was in Utah a few weeks ago and saw hundreds of these old Kens driving around! Kenworth country for sure. Not all were the "big hoods", but there were hundreds of the older straight top hoods.

  • Oh yeah!!!!!!! That's the shit,I have a 78 and no one has deep enough pockets to buy it from me lmfao!!!!!

  • How do you upgrade the lights in these trucks I have a 79 and the lighting is very weak at night

  • i am 28 and i make my living in a 81 A model. people ask me y dont i get a new truck and the anwser is simple. u just cant beat these old trucks. i can haul the same thing u do and get the load there but in style. also if something happens i can work on mine while u wait for a service truck or wrecker to fix yours.

  • @LONEWOLF1082 no its cause the bitches love em keep on keepin on

  • respect from Panama, in my country about these trucks and if they have power. , My good video, greetings.

  • Excellent vid and pictures!! Beautiful trucks all right!! Thanks for posting!

  • would love to have a picture of that monfort truck!!! owner op

  • This is soooo cooooool you cant beat a W-Model Kenworth thanks for sharing these classics mate

  • Drooling over the keyboard....outstanding shots! Thanks for another great vid!

  • niec

  • THE BEST IS THE 1982 W900A

  • These trucks are just gorgeous. Kenworth, best truck ever made. Period.

  • Are they all Kenworth's - u sure there's not a Peter Built in there somewhere at least once? Alot of similarities between the two.

  • Nice video I love these old kenworths. Please keep them coming

  • 1968spawn...Thanks SO Much for the post & Memories. I owned two of these, a

74 & an 81..both with DD 12V71 power and 6x4 DBL od's...the ONLY way to FLY !! hehe. I recognize the 1st trk, the last one and the one at 2:25 as Tri-States out of Greely,CO. The yellow one at 0:44 with the homebuilt extended hood & Dbl 60" flat tops joined together,is out of Calgary,

AB. Canada, and has a twin turbo'd 3408 under the hood with "sticks". GREAT Post !! THANK YOU !!

  • 1968spawn.....OOPS ! Was just looking at it again.....is the 1st "A" model one of Monforts trucks ? I well remember the "Monfort Lane" on I-80......ahhh Yes !

1693TA Cat power and Boogadee, Boogadee...BOOGADEE !!! The 1693 was...THEE Finest truck engine Cat ever put into a Semi......probably because it wasn't designed originally for hwy truck use.....which is why Cat "scrambled" to design a "new" truck engine....the 3406...one that would last as long as the 1693 Sadly !!

  • Yes. A guy from Sidney NE. owned then. Picture was taken by myself at the Sapp Bros. in Omaha NE. 1991.

  • I shot the yellow one at a rest area west of Des Moines IA. on I-80 Sept. 1997 I recall the awesome sound of that machine. I also recall a extdhood orange Peterbilt 359 leased to the same carrier. It had a custom hood and a flat top 63 inch bunk.

  • i knew the guy that owned that yellow and white truck at 0:36 R&B Trucking he still has trucks and trailers painted like that there W900L's now too bad he went from 10 to 2

  • Nice kens but u cant beat a peterbilt.

  • absolutely brilliant, unfortunately we dont see the w900 models down under as close as we came i think was the w924 which is remarkably similiar just shorter in hood length, i think it was a canadian model exported down under for a while till kenowrth australia started cranking out local models, now the closest thing to the W900 L is the T908 down here same cab and thats about all, i have driven both and each is brilliant in their own way...

  • 1:34 was my favorite. Close call though, i love them all.

  • the one at the very end is aboloutley superb. Nice Vid man, can ou do a MACK one?

  • Thankyou.Got some MACKS in my latest collection.
