  • oooooooh greasy abused chickens yuccckkkkk

  • I can tell this was from a CBC telecast of "Hockey Night in Canada: Stanley Cup '78".

  • That's it, man--I'm going to KFC tonight! I gotta go now after seeing this. It's crazy that I haven't been in since December (2010) or January. But then again, I know I'm not missing too much. White Castle just speaks that much more to me as a Brooklyn brother in his late-20's. :D

When I get there in a while I know I'm getting some biscuits. That's a must. BUT, I kinda like to have a KFC "roll" too. And either they don't serve 'em anymore, or they don't serve 'em in this part of the country.

  • 2 hours????? haha

  • "Give us two hours notice, then come and get it."

What happened to this kind of voice?

  • hmm alot of people say kfc dosent taste nice now but i think it does, maybe its because i never tasted it like when it started out small and they had alot of time to prepare it nicely or whatever

  • Leafs lost again. lol

  • A DIY buffet would last me a whole week!

  • they beat my grandmas potato salad

  • There's a reason you can't find a KFC in Kentucky. I'm pretty sure the whole chain is an embarassment to the state.

  • Even in the 1990s it tasted better than now.

  • By the way, there are still some KFC locations that have buffets; i've been to ones in Olympia(south of Tacoma, Washington), Sedona, Arizona and Wenatchee, Washington; I don't know if there are any other KFC buffet locations besides those ones or not, those are just the ones I know of and that i've eaten at.

  • @Nickle98499 I also found an instance in Sarnia, Ontario that has one (okay, I found it in Google Street View), as well as in West Virginia.

  • @MattJFisher cool; I know there are a lot of KFC buffet places still around, I also have commented that there are a few Pizza Huts that have buffets as well.

  • @MattJFisher cool, good to know there are still KFC buffets like the ones I mentioned.

  • @Nickle98499 The one in my town has a buffet. Always seems to be moderately empty with food when I come and see it, though.

  • @iPixul That sucks

  • Do they even use 11 "herbs and spices" anymore? I don't think I've heard that slogan in the adverts or anything anymore. If they're not saying it, it must no longer be true. Salt, pepper, crack cocaine, MSG....

  • I can remember eating KFC back in the 70's, and believe it or not, it was REALLY good. Today's KFC is just a pale imitation. Just another thing ruined by corporate greed.

  • Hey Josh, if you want the O.R of old my friend, just pop into my account and check out my forum: The Colonel's Kitchen ;)

  • @JoshuaTaylor That stuff has become crappy and more expensive. The last time I had KFC was about 7 or 8 years ago, and it was pure crap!

  • KFC is still good but I wish I tasted it back when Sanders was still alive.

  • Fu%$in Habs...Still winnin` after awl these years. ;D

  • Even now, KFC just doesn't taste like it used to. Most of the "cooks" at the restaurants don't cook it properly - it's always rush! rush! rush.

And even now, a lot of stores use pre-mixed "seasoning" - it's a 25lb bag of cement.... er, I mean flour, salt, pepper and MSG. The original recipe isn't cooked at stores anymore. KFC hasn't tasted "right" since about 1979.

  • @DiscoKat almost all fast wood places now rust cook now..

It's pretty sad that I pretty much fried my own Chicken now, KFC hasn't tasted good in 25 years.

  • Also Montreal won the cup that year, GO HABS GO!

  • uggh, the leafs were even losers in the 70's:P

  • Ha Ha, Losers since '67!!!

  • Didn't anyone notice the font used at 00:29 looked exactly the same as the Orange Clockwork!

    lmao

  • "Pick up Kentucky Fried Chicken"

  • lol... that would be "PICK up Kentucky Fried Chicken", not "GIVE up..." :)

Although, the chicken they serve nowadays certainly isn't worth picking up at all...

  • I could swear that that's Alex Laurier as the man behind the counter! It sure looks like him, and it sounds like him, too!

  • For about 10 years after he died, they stopped advertising the "11 secret herbs & spices", because that was when they cut corners by just using a blend of salt, pepper & MSG. When sales dropped, they brought back the old recipe & started promoting it again.

  • He's a man that played by the rules. If he caught you cutting corners and cheating. You'd know it. That's why the secret recipe is still a secret for so many years.
