Despite the enormous amount of backlash from Narnia fans regarding their romance, I still am glad they added it. Lewis never did add a "love and loss" element to these books and a potential love between Caspian and Susan gave a bittersweet reality to a morally "life lesson" rich series. Susan since the first film, has been logically serious and had a difficult time keeping an open heart and mind. The lesson she learns before leaving Narnia permanently is to do so-despite it hurting in the end.

is stated that Susan is like 1300 years old, making her Caspians like great great great great great great grandmother or whatever since royalty usually marries royalty and have offspring OR if they DO marry a 'commoner' it would still mean that, by blood, Caspian and Susan ARE related which means that this kiss is an incest kiss. Caspian became prince of Narnia, Susan was Queen of Narnia 1300 years ago so technically, Susan just made out with her grandson (or whatever.)
