the NT claim is that Jesus was the promised Messiah, unique Son of God. unless you believe in an anointed God who was born, tempted and killed.

People who beleive Christ is/was God do so in contradiction to large number of scriptures. They do so in favor of only a few scriptures. Which makes no sense whatsoever to me.

But... this shows a very important aspect of human behavior.

That is where many people ultimately choose what "THEY" want to believe rather than what they ought to beleive.

Actually, you did what everyone else does with regards to Bible manipulation.

It's classic clap-trap and its cheap. I see nothing in that scripture to justify believing Jesus is God or vice-versa. There is an entire framework of evidence in the bible for Jesus being God's created son. And unless you can prove otherwise, the argument remains a misconception(pure and simple).

So go ahead, delude yourself against the facts if that's what you want.

Not only did He die, but he also tempted and worshiped another God whom He himself called father and God(gish!)

Fact is, Jesus stated He was God's only begotten son. He called His father, Father and worshiped him. He declared that he made His fathers name manifest prior to His death and faced Him(his father) once he returned to heaven to assume his place in the throne until the restoration of God's kingdom on earth.

Jesus was in every sense of the word, God's son. :)

This is one of the wonders about this book called the bible, supposedly the 'word of God', that it can be interpreted in so many different ways. You can also prove that God is one, that Jesus is only the son of God. that he worshiped the Father and not himself. I think I will choose a different book to believe in.
