  • How did you get the intensity pro to work with dell?

  • @TheLOGAN109 it just worked. they normally don't? it may be because i have a workstation (t3400) that is different. who knows.

  • also subbed to you for all the trouble i caused you (:

  • @xXGamester109Xx ah thank you!

  • last question :P

do you think this would work with 1 hard drive ?

  • @xXGamester109Xx well i think i've been pretty clear that i don't! lol when i had one hard drive it worked but there were frames skipped (the audio wasn't skipped) so the "video buffer" wasn't filling up as fast as the "audio buffer" which leaves the audio lagging behind in the final video, even though it's the video that is actually being unrecorded. think about this and it will make sense. it'll work, but with lag and some games you'll get more lag than others.

  • @xXGamester109Xx my geo wars vids were recorded off one drive... they didn't come out that bad. check them out.

  • what are your computer specs? i really want to get the black magic but im scared that it will suck with just 1 harddrive :(

  • @xXGamester109Xx my computer specs are in the video details/description txt...

  • i was thinking of getting this card besides the hd pvr, do you think i should

P.S. i am planing on buying an extra harddrive just for recording could you give me an estimate on what the size should be to record in 720p for youtube??

    computer specs:

    CPU: core 2 quad q6600 @ 3.15 ghz

graphic card: HD4870 1 GB diamond

    Case: Antec 900 gaming case

Mother Board: Asus P5W DH Deluxe

  • @xXGamester109Xx the card is great. i would contact blackmagic for requirements. but from them they suggest a 4 hard drive raid 0 array, which is what i have and it works fine. in fact it still skips frames from time to time which sucks, but the softward doesn't tell you how many frames. if it continually skips frames then it makes for a bad capture, if it's only 1 frame then it's no big deal. so my recommendation is at least the speed of a 4 hard drive 7200 rpm raid 0 array

  • @matthewdoucette do you think it will work with 2 hard drives in raid 0?

  • @xXGamester109Xx it works with one, but i got lots of lost frames, so i have to stick to my recommendations

  • Blackmagic say they don't support dell, did you have any problems setting up or recording??

  • @L7world i've had tons of problems with performance, not dropping frames (had to get a better [dell] system), and quality of rendering (scanlines swapped) and all of that.... but none of it was tied to dell itself. right now it's working great for me. i use virtualdub to fix the scanlines being swapped.

  • @matthewdoucette cool thanks. I thought it sounded strange that it worked on every computer except dell. I'm actually looking at the new shuttle (which also says no dell support) so it can do most of the work instead of my comp.

  • @L7world np, i don't know why they would say they don't support dell... i have no idea what that's about!

  • o and another thing are u uploading ur raw filel or do u render it in another program 1st?

  • @YBK650 i render it through windows movie maker first, as youtube cannot handle the raw file. it takes forever and the quality sucks, so run it through something else first. windows movie make drops frames so a 60fps capture has every second frame dropped, and i want a program that merges those frames (blurs them or something) instead of dropping them... if you know what i should be using, please let me know!!!

  • @matthewdoucette i dont know what you should use lol cuz the raw file footage looks amazing the quality isnt downscaled at all but i did a test in sony vegas n it looked sd i was pissed but ur videos look pretty good i jus wana figure out how render my video to look just like the raw file

  • @YBK650 make sure the output is 1280x720 to maintain the resolution... windows movie maker can do this in some versions of windows (not in others). inputting the raw file to youtube will cause youtube to process it, and it causes horizontal scan line distortion. just have to do a lot of testing to figure it out!

  • @matthewdoucette u record in 720? i did some tests in 1080i and in vegas i was going to render it in p lol idk if thats possible i think it is but ill keep trying to get good settings

  • @YBK650 I do, because my TV is only 720p.

  • requires a 4 hd raid?? i dont have mine raided yet and it captures just fine no skipping frames

  • @YBK650 it depends on how filled and fragmented your hard drive is, but they recommend 4 and I could not capture with only 1 reliably...

  • Yes it really did, much thanks man!

  • so funny, as this is my friend playing it. the game has yet to be loaded on my profile yet (check my xbox profile to see!!!) it would still be in the plastic wrap had my friend not stopped over to play it! lol

  • this is Blackmagic Capture card right? and could i broadcast this on Justin TV? This looks very good

  • yes, details in the side info bar. i'm not familiar with justin tv (know of it, never used it) so i don't know if this is the match you are looking for, but the quality of this card is amazing.

i find youtube kills the quality sometimes, though (as in my bugattiy vs. bugatti video). i still can't figure youtube out...

  • Very interesting last comment. Did you ever try out Blitzbox ? Im getting that to start off and if i like it i will be selling the Blitzbox and get this capture card. This looks just like the one i been looking for. Thanks for your fast message back

  • never tried blitzbox, or even heard of it. i research greatly what was the best capture card and this was it. professionaly gaming studios use it. you need a kick-ass hard drive system to record it, though. details on mine in the info bar...

  • I was having trouble with this part

  • did this help?
