Exactly. Today is day 34 and I have had nothing but juice and water.

Do you have any particular reason? I mean, some people do it as an act of gratitude or as a plea... Is any Doctor watching you? suspending food that way can be compromising for your health...

I do it to draw closer to God. Lenten sacrifices are a personal choice but are expected to be a true sacrifice for God. I use my time to read the bible and pray. Yes the doctor knows and is on board. Some doctors actually prescribe fasting for certain ailments. The myth that it's bad for is just that, a myth. Thanks for your concern :)

I will pray for your success in however you are fasting. I just thought I would let you know how the Catholic Church defines fasting.

It's one whole meal and two snacks which don't add up to a full meal. Fasting also doesn't have to involve food (except when anf for whom mandated by the Church). It can also be fasting from t.v., etc. This year, the pope suggested the youth fast from text messaging. Praying for your success.
