I just always liked that darker side of the Doctor. It's a great concept for a character and it should be implemented more in the new series.

Yeah, Smith has yelled a few times, but it's nothing compared to Ten's quiet rage.

@ChaosTheory0 I tihnk they have it right with Smith's doctor. Ten went completely overboard towards the end, contradicted his own beliefs, almost went as Insaine as The Master with his depression. I hated the specials because they were so upsetting. I missed Ten from series two. That was the only time he was good, when there was balance between the angst and the humour! Thank God the time war hasn't brought up yet with SMith. I've had enough of it.

Are you even curious as to what happened during the Time War? Seriously? What exactly the Doctor went through, what made The Master so frightened that he ran away and made himself human? How did the Doctor destroy them? Any of that?

@ChaosTheory0 Yes The time War was a good idea and was good for the first few series but the problem is, its most likely been dropped completely be the moff. We arn't gonna get answers. :( It's a shame we knew so little about this war, yet meant to feel sorry for the doctor when he keeps on and on about it during RTD'S time. Eleven has different personality and way of dealing with things, he's obviously able to keep his emotions covered mostly. Apart from Dreamlord darkside in Amy's Choice.

@Randomgirl08 And I don't see how they have anything "right" with Smith. He's a good Doctor, but I seriously miss the character that was the 10th Doctor.

I also love how Moffat dropped the dark side concept all together.

A balance? There's always been a good balance of that, even after series two. Series 3 had it's funny moments, and series 4 was filled with them.

And yes, in the End of Time, he ends up using a gun, but he was up against his biggest foe. Can you blame him?
