Just like I told someone else. Sometimes it's not the parents' fault. I have a 27 pound cat and a 15 pound cat, my vet told me it's his metabolism. I feed both my cats the same amount everyday, and there is an 12 pound difference between the two. My mom also had a 30 pound cat and a 13 pound cat, both of them ate the same amount. So, you can't always blame the owner! Vets have researched this and it is proven it can be their metabolism or some other underlying illness.

He could have a metabolism problem or another underlying illness they don't know about. Vets have researched this. It's not always the parents' fault! I've talked to my vet about my cat's weight, since he's 27 pounds. He and my other cat eat the same amount of food everyday. He is 11 years old and has never had any issues. So, I wouldn't say this is animal abuse since it's probably just his metabolism.
