  • This was filmed under the new overpass they were building in Austin to connect I-35 to Ben White and the new airport.

  • They were a fun band live -- crushing walls of melody, and Bobby had that slobby look about him: overweight, messy hair ... now he's all fucking serious with his abs and his six-pack and "bullet-head" thing. Too bad he can't lighten up a bit; the new band is efficient and kind of boring live. Now it's just a job.

  • You're kinda right, but I think that the drumming in Sugar is kinda mechanical compared to the drumming of Grant Hart in Husker Du.

  • Grant Hart was a freak in the best possible meaning of the word. The bare feet thing was a cool touch.

  • Bob mould with a six pack??? I can't even imagine that.

  • rock on.......check the drums

  • This is the band of my life!!!

I really love sugar since long time ago.

I love so much this video, its so fun, clear, happy, blue sky ... i dont know how to explain!!!!

  • I know what u mean

  • This brings back some good memories from high school..

  • Brilliant,positive music-fuck being bummed out;listen to Sugar !!

  • not ashamed to say it.....love this power pop stuff then, love it now....thanks for the post....

  • Husker Du!

  • Btw, was this filmed in TX?

  • I don`t know. It had to be a flood control with renovations. The wall pattern is a sign. Most of those scenes are shot on the San Gabriel in California Or the LA. Alb. NM comes to mind. Just a guess.

  • Ahh.... better times also, I lived in Atlanta and saw him with his first solo band at The Cotton Club in '89 or 90 I think, then him solo later at The Point, then Sugar in Austin at Liberty Lunch before those bastards tore it down. Good Times!!!!

  • Liberty Lunch was the best!

and the video was shot when they were building US 290 under Mopac (Loop 1 in Austin).

  • I thought that looked familar.

  • great music video!

  • Man I miss these guys, such happy fuckin music!

  • I assume you never had Beaster ...

  • Sugar lost me at Beaster. I don't dump on his beliefs, why the need to dump on mine?

  • File Under: Easy Listening was there best album - you missed out...

  • I didn't miss it. I liked FU:EL.

  • Sugar's uniqueness draws from their ability to have songs that rock, yet are mellow at the same time.

  • This song brings back so many memories for me - thanks for posting this.

  • aw man, good times :D

  • Reminds me of better days, better times (for me, that is).
