However, gold is nowhere near its historical high (1982) when you adjust for inflation and the world is being swamped with fiat currency today vastly more than in the early 80s. When gold becomes a serious threat to the fiat currency system (i.e. when it reaches $5,000/oz), thats when the govt will step in.

He himself said the bailout bubble is bursting or close to bursting and large amounts of those funds went into the stock market at the end of '08/beginning of '09. However, gold is nowhere near its historical high (1982) when you adjust for inflation and the world is being swamped with fiat currency today vastly more than in the early 80s. When gold becomes a serious threat to the fiat currency system (i.e. when it reaches $5,000/oz), thats when the govt will step in.

@milkman52879 At least these people depicted bad times ahead of us with reasonable arguments and proven facts, but the ones who cheer for recovery only have the fudged government numbers to back them up, there is no evidence of this being mended or repaired. The next leg down is down the drain. It is not possible for so much wealth to have been vanished and we haven't seen the consequences of it yet.
