there would be no christmas at all if it were not for the birth of Jesus..so all this stuff you are saying about warmth would not happen if it were not for Jesus!

Actually, all this "stuff" I am saying about warmth has nothing to do with Jesus, it has to do with our primordial need to survive in the darkness and cold of winter and the lack of sunlight. The point of celebrating winter solstice and the holidays that follow are to recognize and create our own light, our own warmth to make up for the natural lack of it. Jesus is just your excuse for the light you think you need in times of cold darkness. I wonder if you really found warmth or a synthetic.

well, if that is what xmas is about, then let;s just forget the closeness of family, friends, and reminders of what really matters if it's all about Jesus. All the holidays are during this time just point to the light and warmth that we aren't getting from nature and how we as human beings make up for that by finding our warmthness in each other. the birth of Jesus is coincidental.
