  • Training projectiles..

    Paintballs! :D

  • LMAO and that would be why LMAO

  • This almost looks like going to a police academy. As I thought, the USCG is definitely the serivce of choice for those that wish to get into civilian law enforcement in the future. Probably what I should have done when I turned 18, but at this point, I'm close to finishing my criminal justice degree so it's not really necessary for me to enlist.

  • Wish the best for you elsamuraiguapo...

I curriculum is similar I imagine. The class for BTM training was very thorough with the Use Of Force, judgmentals, defensive tactics, arresting procedures, and criminal law (14USC89 is pounded in your head)...

MLE was one aspect of the CG I didn't really embrace ( i was heavily in SAR) but boy the crab gear brings back memories!

  • Hey, thanks a lot. Wish the very best for you as well!

  • I have been shot at in my work on land - I cant imagine what its like in the confined space of a ship. So many places for bad guys to hide- and such close range shooting.

It obviously takes balls of stainless steel to board a vessel in an enforcement situation.

  • The maritime environment is definitely tricky, cant simply retreat. Its funny when we work with marines, we call them crazy for the stuff they do, and they're like no way you're crazy for doing it on a boat. Makes for a good relationship.

  • that is some powerful training.good thing they have that safety equipment, it must be painful when one is whacked with a baton or taken down, with 100% speed and power.
