  • you having any oil consumption issues like the rest of us earlier 4.6L owners

  • @infinity3jif yes I do

  • @infinity3jif What Kind of oil do you use?

  • @88BroughamLS regular 10w40

  • @infinity3jif Now honestly, do you guys drive your Lincoln's hard or easily and how many miles do yours have? I'm doing a little research cuz mine has 174000 and does not burn a drop and I wanna keep it that way!! So I'm not tryna argue or nothin don't take it that way please!

  • @88BroughamLS bro i don't have a lincoln, i have a 1994 crown vic 4.6L i don't drive it hard at all because gas is to high "lol"and plus it has over 250,000 miles maybe more the odometer stopped at 235,000 miles two years ago, i would get the valve seals replaced but i don't have the time or money, man you're lucky

  • what miles per gallon do these get?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx - my 1995 Town Car averages 18.9 mpg in town, 28 freeway, but I drive it very easily.

  • @Toni7859 mine does about 20 in town and 24 on highway

  • @xxnissansilviaxx judging from what year, mines a 1984 and supposedly gets 15 city 23 highway, 19 average.

  • My grandma can't get her '97 Town Car to do that, since there's no way to turn off the Traction Control. Sucks to have that much power, and not be able to do anything with it!

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic lol pull that darn traction control fuse and get a video up!!

  • @70dustpan I may be doing so within the next few months! Believe it or not I actually just talked my grandma into trading me her '97 Town Car for my '01 Chevy Malibu! (which she's gonna sell, and use the money to buy a Continental instead)

It'll be fun to do donuts and stuff in such a gigantic car.. which is basically gonna be my first car, since I'm trading the car I just got 2 weeks for it.

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic Haha, cool!! when u can slide a big car around u can prolly drive anything, so its good to learn in a big car lol, I havent cut a donut in mine yet, my posi is worn out, Ill do one once I get fresh posi in it and put a vid up lol

  • @70dustpan Yeah, it's like learning to drive on stick (which I did), that way anything else seems incredibly easy. Now... to learn parallel parking in the second-largest car of the '90s (#1 being the '93-96 Cadillac Fleetwood)!

How long have you had your Town Car, anyway?

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic I have had my car about 2 and a half years now, burns oil alot now though which really sucks lol, has 156k miles on it, but its a good car, wouldnt trade it for anything

  • @70dustpan It your first car, too? The one i'm getting doesn't burn oil, but it has a slight (split second) vibration sometimes when driving.. trying to figure that one out. Mine's only got 108K miles - Not bad for a 14-year-old car.

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic Yeah its my first car, its got a slight valve tick which its had for about a year and a half but still runs great lol, but when i first got it i ran it hard so that prolly why its like that, gonna do an engine rebuild or swap motor here real soon!! I wouldnt worry about a tiny vibration either unless it is timing belt, that would be a big deal, but otherwise i would say dont worry about it at the moment!!

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic and only 108k, man thats nice, is the body pretty clean and paint nice and not faded too?

  • @70dustpan The body in general isn't too bad, but I think it got rear-ended at one point, because the paint from the left rear quarter panel and the trunk lid are slightly lighter blue than the rest of the car, and the pin stripe is pretty crude there, too.

  • man you know whats weired i just did a huge burn out and my left side was spinning ill take a video of the after math in the morning i was taken a video of it but my dumb ass little bro hit stop right as i started to burnoff but ill take a video of the tires its all tore up and then u can see the mark in the road where it was the left side most of the time its the right side im confussed cus most of the time i do burnouts its my right side that spins sad thing is i just bought the left tire lol

  • @waco420 usually its the passenger side that spins in my car, it only gets posi in the snow and sometimes in rain haha!! But yeah man get the video up, I wanna see it, sorry took so long to comment but i didnt know u even commented on my video, it never showed up in my inbox!!

  • @70dustpan yea same with mine but for some reason that day my driver side started to spin i just put brand new good years on it they cost almost 500 so i'm not gonna do it again if i come across some used tires ill try it again and when i made the vid my little brother did it and he didnt even get the whole thing i could make a video of the marks i alway burn out in the same spot and you can see where it was the left side well then i got a spare but i hate to try it then the other side spin lol

  • man these cars wont beat tiberons .. wtf

i have a grand marquis with a few adds on and a tiberon would embarass it .. there big and slow ..... they spin though

  • @leafsrule16 for how heavy these are i dont consider them slow, i have not raced no tiburons yet but i did race a caprice with a 4.3 V8 from a 25mph roll on and i beat him though, these motors are torquey motors not much made for speed!

  • @leafsrule16

the 4-cyl tibs don't even come close to a town car and the last v6 i ran i pulled by 2 cars 20-70. Mine isn't stock but its hilarious to pull a gt stang in.

  • @leafsrule16 shit if they wont mine has a superchip and an exaust cool air intake and i got rid of my fan clutch and added a eletric fan not much but i take down ricers all the time civics all that bs and i beat one iv beat a turbo eclips too they were both sticks iv beat a svt focus and i race them all times lame ass ricers even a ss cobult or whatever they are called im thinkin of doing a 5.1 stroker then them ricers would get left in the dust

  • @leafsrule16 lol, i raced a tib... i jumped on it but then it embarassed me w/ my stock 96' TC. but, after a few upgrades, rematch >:D

  • @leafsrule16 Yeah, but what kind of comparison is that? You're comparing a sports car to a full size luxury car.

  • my 1st car is a 95 towncar i love it,but i wanna make it a lil better lol

  • my fav towncar is the 98 but i do love all towncars

  • my cousin has a 95 town car with 264000 miles on it. it needs some new 02 sensors and a new exhaust and the paints faded but it is fun as hell to drive

  • mine is a blast to drive as well i got posi track rear end and dual pipes from the factory with a new motor at 64000 miles now still only has 90k runs like a dream i actuly have 2 my old one has 150k but still runs strong my new one would woop a tiburon i bet money on that mines a 97

  • sweet! Yeah, mine has almost 150k on it now, I've beat my buddys chevy caprice with mine!

  • i beat one of those today in my 99 tiburon with 140 hp..it was a pretty good race

  • lol its only the sohc 4.6

  • Yup, back when the car was bone stock i did that burnout with just the sohc 4.6!! Only 210 hp but still fun to drive, lol

  • @oohmammaoohmamma yea but with a little mods they are super fast iv took my fan clutch off and put a eletric fan on also got a super chip and a cool air intake and an exaust now im putting out around 270hp im planning on doing a 5.1 stroker and then ill leave thoes ol ricers in the dust i hate any ricer thats not a supra or skyline or rx7 i only like them the rest are sad little wanna be race cars
