I don't want to sound like a dick, but this doesn't seem real to me. These emotions seem like those of someone who isn't going through something like this, but thinks this is what would happen. What I mean to say is, the dramatic pauses, the staring into the camera, etc... I don't know, it feels like acting rather than reality.
Hell, it could be real in that this is a guy with cancer, but the emotions are just what he thinks he ought to be feeling rather than what he IS feeling.
Seriously people hating on a guy with lung cancer leaving videos for his son? Who cares if its fake or not no one can act these emotions. Very low chance this is fake, for all you know this guy could have passed away from cancer.

@ivegotamnesia Of course i does. Not to mention the guy has a 5 o clock shadow, eyelashes, and looks to not have lost any weight, when he's supposedly going through chemo. Oh and the papers on the piano are also in the act same place.

Honestly think about it, I've set an object down and not touched it for MONTHS simply because I didn't need to move it for those months. It could have been the same case here. However, i looked into it being fake after i saw the link and I noticed the new stuff as well. Look at the ceiling fan, it also has not moved.
this was meant to have an impact on his sons life, and it ended up having an impact on hundreds and soon to be millions of people. his words and advice are so real and reminds us all that we never know what the future has in store.and that its okay to be imperfect. <3
Personally I believe his son not only he might not have custody of, but his son is very little and these were made for his song to watch when he was older. I believe this man died off his illness and his computer was sold and not cleaned out or looked through...
@amisamiamiam k, just watched video two, made more sense, this is a dad's message of love to his son who he doesn't have custody of. I really hope that kid gets to see this someday.

The sad truth is if a human was diagnosed with a disease and they know when they are going to die, this is what they have to go through.
Now I know that if I were in the same place, I would probably do the same thing.
This is like food for thought. Something to consider when thinking what cancer victims have to deal with.
