I've been modeling most of my music around the sounds Kristian Matsson masterfully creates. What he does is amazing. I actually just made music video for a song with a similar theme.

He usually plays in open G tuning I think. Sometimes in some wierd D tuning too, open D maybe.
Hope that helps :) Good luck and please post some tabs if you figure it out. I´m working on "honey wont you let me in".
